Today we’d like to introduce you to Danica Lombardi.

Hi Danica, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My story begins in high school. I had horrible cystic, painful acne. I would cry myself to sleep because it destroyed my self-esteem. During this time, there wasn’t as much awareness of other treatments besides the heavy-duty Prescription creams and Accutane. After cycles of that, my face did clear up, but the side effects were awful. I wished I knew more then.

Fast forward to my adult years, I realized skincare was a passion. I wanted to provide services to those dealing with skin concerns, but specifically acne and aging skin. I have been licensed since 2016, and while I am a small, one-woman operation, I know that I can help heal those suffering from skin ailments.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
A challenge I face as an esthetician is the ever-saturated industry. There are so many amazing and talented professionals in this industry, it can be hard to gain traction. However, I truly believe there are clients for every esthetician and an esthetician for every client. So much of it is about the chemistry between the client-esthetician relationship!

The only other challenge that I think any professional can agree on, is the reminder to clients that lasting results take time. You can’t get a facial once a month and expect years of aging or signs of acne to disappear. It takes time and consistency to see the results. I like to use this analogy… you can’t work out one time and expect much change. Like everything, improved skin takes time.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My work is simple but so satisfying. Clients come to me with skin concerns, whether it’s acne, wrinkles, fine lines, pigmentation, rosacea, etc. I help them look and feel better. I help make these wonderful clients feel more confident in their skin. There’s nothing better. My services include but are not limited to customizable facials, microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning, waxing, lash and brow tinting, etc. Not only do I offer these services, but therapy sessions and naps are complimentary.

What does success mean to you?
This is easy. To me, success is defined by the “oh, wow’s” I hear when my clients get up from my table. The more I hear how much better they feel, how much better they say they look, and how much progress their skin is making, I call that a win!
