Exploring Life & Business with Elissa Jane Mastel of The 1111 Empress

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elissa Jane Mastel.

Elissa, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In NYC, a few decades ago, I was a music industry publicist working for record labels and artists. This is where my career began. As I’ve grown up, and the industries have changed, I shifted from music to technology. I rode that dot-com wave until 2001 and then shifted more and more into a digital marketing model. It was around this time I started working with smaller businesses, start-ups, individuals with big ideas, and creatives looking to showcase their work. While social media was in its infancy, I was using technology to further my client’s recognition and get their names out there.

Today, I run a boutique marketing agency with a big national reach called ConvertGo Marketing with a fourteen-year track record. My little team offers a full 360° Holistic Multi-Channel Marketing program that encompasses everything a small business might need to bolster its brand including logo design, web design, social media marketing, NewPR, email marketing, paid marketing, content creation and implementation, SEO, and graphic design. What I’m going to talk about today in this interview is my new venture The1111Empress. I’m offering a new suite of services for C-suite professionals, founders, entrepreneurs, and creatives seeking coaching, healing, and manifesting support. I am in the process of launching a new online community, with courses, daily affirmations and instructions, 1:1 services, and healing services, with a focus on generating abundance.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s no such thing as a “smooth” road for any entrepreneur. I’ve had my share of challenges. That’s very normal. I think the biggest struggle I had to get over early in my career was learning to fail well. Failing forward is an essential skill for the entrepreneur and I had to learn that with a lot of resistance.

Currently, my biggest challenge right now is having more time to devote to my new venture because my marketing agency is so busy! I’ve hired some great people to help me with my marketing work, which is now freeing me up to pursue what I’m being called to work on next.

What you need to know is that the world of business has had a catalyst of change in 2020, and this is a beautiful thing. Many older businesses are trying to cling to old models which is causing resentment with leadership and staff. My intention is to step into these spaces and create a culture of empowerment, diversity, and inclusion where people want to come together to create something and solve problems for their customers in unison.

This change has also ushered in new marketing strategies and techniques that have obliterated old traditional models. I’ve had the pleasure of training teams at international and small companies learn to how to adapt, add new modalities, and change their organic and paid marketing to garner big results. Staying relevant is not easy, which is why I’ve created this customized training program to empower marketing professionals to adopt current trending modalities and get the results they strive for.

High-performing C-suite, entrepreneurs, and creatives are busier than ever. Many of them have negative relationships with abundance, money, and wealth. In my manifesting and mindset coaching practice, I work with teams and individuals to remove the blocks and create open channels for abundant income streams. There is enough work for all of us, and enough resources for all of us to succeed.

What sets me apart is that no one is out there offering Business Shaman services like this. I have been studying different mindsets, mindfulness, and magical practices for decades for myself, and now I am incorporating these things into my coaching work. My first clients are seeing epic results, ease of mind, and more abundance, and are hitting the goals they are setting for themselves.

It’s exciting to witness this powerful shift in others, and I’m honored to offer this to other entrepreneurs ready to make altar their mindset, generate wealth, create an ethical economy around them, build generational wealth, and be able to live their dreams with joy and bliss more fully.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Every day we take risks. Just walking outside your door, we take risks with our safety and our health. You may say, “Oh, crossing the street isn’t a big deal” but when you were little, it was. We learn to take risks head-on and normalize them.

This is the same in business. Starting a business is risky! But once you walk through that process and learn that even failing has rewards, the risk isn’t so scary. Just like you had to learn to cross this street as a little kid, you learn to navigate other kinds of risks and they become easier and easier to manage. That is how you level up when you realize that everything is a risk to break through and master, it’s not so hard to be a risk taker because you already take risks every day and excel at navigating them.

We take the risks we take for granted, but really we can do anything once we see our way through. I get off on risk-taking now, I like the challenge and excitement of trying something I’ve never done before. I know that my current business idea The 1111 Empress is super risky!

I’m literally adding magic to business, and I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea. I’ve had people embrace it wildly, and some people look at me like I’m insane. Starting a business with a very specific niche is super risky, but following my authentic bliss and offering something that has worked for me for 30 years to other people is very rewarding.
