Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth & Bryan Serrao

Hi Elizabeth & Bryan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We met and fell in love at LSU. 6 years later we got married and went on our honeymoon in st lucia. We stayed in a little bungalow and thats where the newlyweds was born! We spent the week of our honeymoon talking about starting a podcast, what we would name it, and what we would talk about! It was actually Bryan who came up with the idea and the name! When we got home from our honeymoon, Bryan took the lead to order all of our equipment – only the best of the best for the new Mr & Mrs Serrao! And in February of 2023, we recorded our first episode in Denver, CO! Within a week, we had over 300 downloads! We’ve been doing it ever since!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Commitment. It was definitely hard to take time out of weekends and sometimes weekdays to record and edit the podcast. Some nights we stayed up until midnight after working our 9-5s to get the episode out in time! Our show is also about our lives as newlyweds so it could be hard at times to be so vulnerable! It definitely wasnt smooth in the beginning, but it has been worth it!

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We are a husband and wife podcast duo! Our podcast is focused on married life and relationships, but more specifically our lives as newlyweds and how we are navigating this new era of our lives together!

Being a husband and wife podcasting duo sets us apart! So you get both the female and male perspective of topics, we occasionally do advice on the episode and we can give advice from both perspectives! Theres something for everyone on our show!

We are most proud of the positive feedback from our listeners! We’ve gotten emails, reviews, DMs etc about how we’ve helped them in their relationships! Some have told us we’ve inspired them to have these same conversations we’ve had on the podcast with their own spouse.

We record and post a new episode every wednesday! For the most part, our podcast is very light hearted and fun listen! We also are working on merch for this upcoming year!

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Our podcast hadnt been born yet! We started our podcast in 2023! But at the time of covid, we were dating and in a long distance relationship! Due to covid, bryan lost his job and was able to move back home to florida where Elizabeth was at the time for grad school. Although the world was in turmoil, we were happy to have each other to lean on during these hard times. We also wanted to thank all our first responders including our own family members (siblings & parents) who are in the healthcare field!
