Today we’d like to introduce you to Emily Vulaca.

Emily Vulaca

Hi Emily, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
With determination and passion, my fiance Juta Vakabua, and I embarked on the journey of starting our kava business.

Recognizing the growing demand for this traditional South Pacific beverage, we dove headfirst into research, sourcing the highest quality kava roots, and exploring various cultivation techniques.

We sought expert advice and established strong relationships with local farmers, ensuring sustainable and ethical practices. Our commitment to authenticity and excellence propelled us forward, as we meticulously curated a diverse selection of kava products.

Today, our business stands as a testament to our unwavering dedication to sharing the rich cultural heritage of kava with the world.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a Kava business can come with its fair share of challenges. From navigating complex regulations and licensing requirements to sourcing high-quality Kava products, entrepreneurs in this industry face numerous obstacles.

Additionally, building brand awareness and attracting a loyal customer base can be an uphill battle, especially in areas where Kava consumption is not widely known or understood.

However, with determination, strategic planning, and a commitment to providing exceptional products and experiences, these struggles can be overcome, paving the way for a successful Kava business.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Kolorado Waka LLC?
Our Waka is not only 100% organic but also matured for 5 years to ensure maximum potency.

Kava, being a social drink, brings people together, and our kava business revolves around the values of family and community. We proudly support our local farmers who diligently source high-quality products. Our motto is simple: if one of us eats, we all eat.

We love surprises, fun facts, and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
People are often surprised to learn that we are Fijian because the Fiji Islands are not widely known or recognized by many.

Despite being born and raised in Australia, I am of Fijian descent, while my fiance was born in Fiji. This unique background makes for a great conversation starter and sparks curiosity among others.
