Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacob Weinstein.
Hi Jacob, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started out as an EMT and paramedic, in the late 90s. I went on to be a flight paramedic and a helicopter, followed by Nursing. I worked in cardiac ICU, heart-lung transplant in the emergency department. And then went on to complete a bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate in nursing. Mobile Care opened in 2017, helping evacuate an enlisted personnel from the Middle East. And then provided services to a clinic for several years. In 2020 Mobile Care relaunched independent and entirely mobile. We started with mobile services in Denver and telehealth in two states. We continue to expand our mobile services in Denver and now offered telehealth services in 25 states and counting.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Launching any business is never a smooth road. There are always issues and challenges, especially people seeing the value in healthcare. I think this is a struggle for everyone. People pay a lot of money every month for insurance and many people do not take advantage of services, do not feel that healthcare offers them anything, and or feel that their provider does not offer them any services for what they are paying for. I also believe that many healthcare providers can be judge mental and don’t have an eye for optimizing or improving health. I think this is in part because of the way the healthcare system is set up and we wait for problems to arise before treating them… One of the things we try and focus on is showing the value of healthcare, in Results as well as improving the daily quality of patients’ lives.
We’ve been impressed with Mobile Care Health, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Mobile Care health offers concierge medical care in the Denver metro area and telehealth in over 25 states. We focus on hormone balancing, testosterone replacement, weight management, peptides, sexual health, functional medicine, nutrition, LGBTQ+ health and Botox. All of our services are mobile, meaning that we come to you for lab draws, hormone replacement pellets, urgent care and primary care. This means that you don’t have to take a half-day off work just for a lab draw or a doctor’s appointment. This means healthcare can actually be convenient and personal. We offer mobile testosterone and estrogen pallets, as well as traditional testosterone replacement. This is probably our most popular service. We also offer sex-positive healthcare.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I grew up in Milwaukee Wisconsin, the son of a physician and A high school teacher. For the most part, I was an introverted kid, however, I found a passion for helping others, medicine, skiing and being outdoors. Our family used to come to Colorado to ski every year and I loved it, I had the opportunity to move here permanently in 2013 and couldn’t be happier.
