Exploring Life & Business with Jessica Sessions of Magical Scraps

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Sessions.

Jessica Sessions

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey, which I hope to capture in a book one day, began with humble origins. As I learned to let go of self-doubt and limiting beliefs while focusing on my true purpose, I found myself where I am today.

Important connections with mentors and friends played a significant role in guiding me. The key lesson?

Trusting my inner instincts leads to genuine alignment and allows me to make a positive impact.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Embarking on the road less traveled in business is rarely a smooth ride. I’ve grappled with financial intricacies, inventory management, mastering the art of strategic questioning, and confronting the multifaceted challenges inherent in personal and professional growth.

Each hurdle has become a catalyst, propelling my fervor for sustained business development and fostering a perpetual mindset of learning and adaptability.

As you know, we’re big fans of Magical Scraps. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Magical Scraps is a unique boutique and studio nestled in the heart of Breckenridge, Colorado, along bustling Main Street. Our creative process unfolds right before our customers’ eyes, with three sewing machines, a heat press, and a hat press on full display, showcasing the craftsmanship behind each distinct item.

Using fabrics and fabric scraps, we handcraft a diverse range of retail offerings, from personalized baby blankets, bibs, and burp cloths (crafted from fabric and cloth diapers) to charming headbands, baby bows, and an extensive collection of children’s clothing and accessories. At Magical Scraps, collaboration with local Colorado artists is at the core of our ethos. Through consignment and partnerships with artisans across the state, we foster relationships and contribute to the growth of our local creative community.

Our commitment extends beyond our studio walls as we proudly join forces with the J146 Foundation, a Colorado non-profit dedicated to healing the wounds of war and military life, particularly for Veterans and their families affected by PTSD. This foundation, situated on a ranch in Guffy, CO is an ideal place for healing, there are horses available for equine therapy as well as a full chef kitchen to help teach basic nutrition. Our Mission is to Restore what was Broken and Empower what remains and my goal is to help women and children in military families go from surviving to thriving, by giving them support, care and resources they need.

To amplify our mission and express gratitude, we’ve created a special logo for David’s Peace and the J146 Foundation, offered as a token of appreciation to generous donors. Recognizing the substantial scope of our purpose, we are unwaveringly dedicated to not only nurturing our local community of talented artists but also reaching those who can benefit from the impactful work of the nonprofit.

Our journey is one of restoration, renewal, growth, and continuous learning, as we strive to make a meaningful impact and spread awareness about the transformative power of our collective efforts.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
The more people we can reach the better!

I believe that nothing great worth achieving is done alone, I understand it takes all types of people and a collection of effort to make the biggest impact. If anyone wants to work with us or donate to our nonprofit goals the best way to do that is to email me at jess@magicalscraps.com.
