Exploring Life & Business with Lauren Winter of Saltbox Design

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Winter.

Lauren Winter

Hi Lauren, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
We are a relatively new company that started in April of 2023! I have worked at a handful of design firms and was craving an environment that felt like it could support clients in the best way possible.

We hope to make the design process fun & easy for our clients, so they can continue to focus on the areas of their lives that are important to them.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I would love to say it’s been smooth. I’ve been very fortunate to have amazing business support to get me up and running and help troubleshoot problems and processes.

Every day feels like we’re learning something new or trying a different approach to make sure we’re efficient as a team and are providing the best customer service we can to our clients.

Managing people and our time has been a new endeavor, and I’d say that’s probably caused the most headaches and stress from a learning curve perspective.

We’ve been impressed with Saltbox Design Co, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are an interior design firm that works on residential and small commercial spaces. Our goal is to transform our client’s spaces so they can focus on making memories.

We are a new company, but our team has a collective 30+ years of experience, and we’re proud of the level of detail and thought we put into our work. Our project types range from a bathroom remodel to a newly built home. We work both on the furniture selections and the fixed finishes (remodel/construction projects).

We are proud of the way we are always thinking of the client’s needs first – how they will utilize a space, what their budget is, and what makes the most sense for their aesthetic, instead of pushing our agenda.

We’ve got some great clients, and feel incredibly fortunate!

How do you define success?
I define success as seeing how excited or thrilled a client is either throughout the process or when their final design comes to life. It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to help people in such a tangible way.
