Today we’d like to introduce you to Maura Buck.
Hi Maura, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I graduated from the University of Montana in 2002 with a bachelor’s in social work and went on to realize that health and wellness really included body and mind. I then pursued my massage therapy certification and operated Intuitive Touch Massage Therapy in Missoula, Montana for more than a decade. There, I saw hundreds of clients, helping them recover from injuries, promoting relaxation, and helping them achieve optimum wellness. I received nominations for best massage therapist in Missoula 2 years in a row in the Missoula Independent.
In 2016, I graduated from nursing school. I’ve spent much of my nursing career in the emergency department but also practiced as a postpartum and behavioral health nurse, I still work in the ER but am blending my nursing and massage therapy knowledge to create a great healing experience for clients at flower and mountain massage therapy in Denver!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I just opened in January 2025, so building a clientele is very different than when I built my practice before. But for the most part it’s been smooth. Some challenges, but it’s exciting.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I bring over 20 years of experience to my practice and I’m not only an LMT but also an RN so I have extensive understanding of chronic conditions, injuries and antamtomy and physiology. I also strive to make each session unique for my client’s particular needs. My clients love how comfortable they feel with me and that I listen to them to achieve their goals for each treatment,
I specialize in deep tissue and Swedish massage, trigger point therapy and offer aromatherapy and thermotherapy in each session. I also use passive stretching to increase mobility and comfort,
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Being a nurse myself, I see how challenging healthcare is right now. I especially want to work with other nurses and first responders while they work tirelessly to care for patients in this difficult landscape. Nurses and first responders receive a discount each session they book with me.
