Exploring Life & Business with Nathan Luce of True Living Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nathan Luce

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Nathan’s Journey: Strength, Resilience, and the Road Ahead

Nathan’s story is one of passion, perseverance, and the pursuit of balance. A Colorado native, he has always felt most at home in the mountains. Though he spent six years in Los Angeles—immersed in the energy, the culture, and the unbeatable food—his heart never strayed far from the outdoors. When the time was right, he returned to Colorado, ready to build a life that truly reflected who he was.

At the core of Nathan’s identity is **True Living Fitness**, the business he founded to help people achieve sustainable, healthy lifestyles. As a personal trainer, he doesn’t just focus on workouts—he provides his clients with the tools to transform their lives, from strength training to holistic wellness. His reputation speaks for itself, with clients trusting not just his expertise but his **genuine investment in their success**.

But like any journey worth taking, Nathan’s hasn’t been without obstacles. He is currently navigating a **non-contested divorce**, a decision made not out of hardship, but out of love—for the well-being of his three-year-old daughter, **Paige**. Unlike many separations, his relationship with his ex-wife remains **cordial, supportive, and deeply rooted in co-parenting**. Watching Paige grow, guiding her as she transitions from preschool to new milestones, is an emotional experience. One unforgettable moment was when she confidently climbed onto a zip-lining platform at his gym and launched into an impromptu dance routine. It was a perfect snapshot of her fearless, joyful spirit—one that mirrors her father’s adventurous soul.

Still, being a single father and business owner comes with financial pressures. **Balancing rent, child support, and growing a company requires constant hustle**, and Nathan is no stranger to hard work. He has been expanding his network, establishing strategic referral partnerships with local businesses—ranging from breweries to wellness shops—that align with his clients’ recovery and fitness goals. He has also sought financial guidance from trusted advisors, ensuring that his long-term plans remain on track.

Beyond business and fatherhood, Nathan has been embracing **his empathic nature**—a trait he once felt hesitant to acknowledge. His sensitivity to people’s energy, emotions, and struggles allows him to connect with clients and loved ones on a deeper level. It’s a quality that not only strengthens his personal relationships but also **sets him apart as a trainer and mentor**.

Whether he’s **leading a high-intensity workout, hitting the trails in his black Bronco Sport with orange fixings, or spending a quiet moment with Paige**, Nathan is fully present in his journey. His life is a testament to resilience, adaptability, and the power of forging one’s own path—one that is both adventurous and deeply meaningful.

What’s Next for Nathan?
With his business evolving, his daughter growing, and new opportunities on the horizon, Nathan continues to push forward. He’s not just surviving—he’s thriving, determined to make an impact, both in the fitness world and in the lives of those he cares about.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve faced my fair share of challenges, and none of them have been easy.

Going through a **non-contested divorce** wasn’t something I ever expected, but here I am. My ex and I are still **super cordial and friends**, which makes things easier, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been emotional. We’re both focused on making sure Paige has everything she needs, and that means constant communication and putting our egos aside. Watching her grow up, knowing things aren’t the way I originally pictured them, hits hard sometimes.

Then there’s the **financial side of things**. Running my own business isn’t just about training clients—it’s about keeping the lights on, paying rent, covering child support, and making sure everything stays afloat. Some months are easier than others, but there have been times when **money was tight** and I had to get creative. I’ve been pushing to bring in more clients, setting up referral partnerships, and making sure I’m doing everything I can to grow **True Living Fitness**. It’s a grind, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

I’ve also had to **relearn who I am** in a lot of ways. I’ve always been an empath, someone who picks up on people’s energy and emotions, but I never really embraced it until recently. For a long time, I thought it made me soft, but now I see it as one of my biggest strengths. It’s what makes me a better trainer, a better dad, and a better person overall.

None of this has been easy, but I keep moving forward. I’ve got a business to build, a daughter to raise, and a life to live. No matter what comes next, I’ll handle it like I always do—head-on.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
True Living Fitness isn’t just a gym or a training program—it’s a **lifestyle**. It’s about building **real, sustainable health and strength**, not just looking good for a few months and then falling off track. I built this business because I’ve seen too many people struggle with fitness plans that don’t fit their lives. They burn out, they get frustrated, and they quit. That’s not what we do here.

At **True Living Fitness**, the goal is to help people create a **balanced, lasting approach** to health. That means **customized training, real nutrition strategies, and a mindset shift** that sticks. Whether someone’s looking to build muscle, lose weight, recover from an injury, or just feel stronger in their daily life, I make sure they get the tools and support they need to make it happen.

It’s not about quick fixes. It’s about **learning how to move better, eat better, and feel better—physically and mentally**. My clients trust me because I don’t just throw cookie-cutter workouts at them. I take the time to understand their goals, their struggles, and what’s going to work for them long-term.

At the end of the day, True Living Fitness is about **real results, real people, and real change**. No gimmicks, no BS—just a path to a stronger, healthier, and better life.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
One of the most surprising things about **True Living Fitness** is that it’s not just about lifting weights or hitting fitness goals—it’s about **building a lifestyle that actually works for each person**. A lot of people come in expecting a typical training experience, but they quickly realize it’s **way more than that**.

What surprises most clients is how much I focus on **the mental side of fitness**. I’m not just here to push people through workouts—I’m here to help them break through the mindset blocks that have been holding them back. Whether it’s **self-doubt, past failures, or just not knowing where to start**, I help people **rebuild their confidence** along with their strength.

Another thing people don’t expect? **How much fun training can be.** I don’t believe in boring workouts or rigid meal plans that make people miserable. I create programs that fit into real life—so people actually **enjoy the process** instead of dreading it. And I make sure to keep things **lighthearted and engaging**, because fitness should never feel like punishment.

At the end of the day, **True Living Fitness is different because it’s personal.** Every client has their own journey, and I make sure they’re on a path that works for them—not just for a few weeks, but for life.
