Hi Paulette, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My entrepreneurial journey began over 16 years ago while working in the nonprofit sector. While surrounded by innovative Latinx leaders making immense community impact, I saw many underestimated for investment and leadership opportunities they deserved.

As I was connecting and learning from these powerful leaders and the women in my life, I realized that all of us were accidental entrepreneurs, but no one was embracing the title. A lot of “this is my side hustle” or “I do this to earn extra cash” comments, as if these skills and talents weren’t worthy of professional and personal growth.

So I took it upon myself to expand my knowledge on strategic planning, multicultural marketing, and embracing your neurodiversity into helping entrepreneurs become the unstoppable CEOs of their small but mighty businesses.

I founded Unstoppable Latina to provide personalized guidance helping women entrepreneurs harness our innate talents and strengths while navigating systems stacked against us. No one should feel forced to sacrifice joy or family to achieve their dreams.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Building and growing a business rooted in purpose isn’t easy! I remember my first business mentor who told me “Working with Latinx entrepreneurs and women isn’t profitable”. It took me a month to get over that comment. He was a seasoned and extremely successful consultant who sold 3 of his ventures so feeling like serving my communities wasn’t “good enough” to launch a business was a big shock.

I could see the need, how my expertise and passion could empower other women, and still, his words meant a great deal to me. So I did what I know best, research. I went back and talked to people, my future clients, and all I kept hearing was “I just want to feel unstoppable”. Whether it was in their professional or entrepreneurial life, they craved a personalized roadmap to grow their brand and dreams.

So if I had 16 years of experience helping organizations and leaders build this, why can’t I do it with my gente? That setback taught me my first big business lesson, your definition of success is personal. My definition of success is simple, to have the freedom to work with people and projects that remove barriers for underestimated communities.

At Unstoppable Latina, we guide powerhouse mujeres to clarify their brand and organize their creative flow, so they can tailor their growing business to the values and lifestyle they desire. Using research-based frameworks, we guide women entrepreneurs to create a customized roadmap to elevate their brand and scale their business on their terms.

This year, we expanded our services to help Fortune 500 companies and non-profit organizations expand their footprint and serve the Latinx community with equity-centered programming. We love that we get to empower women of color entrepreneurs to unleash their superpowers, share their imperfect stories, and create meaningful impact on their terms.

Our services include brand storytelling, strategic planning, and visual brand design.

How do you think about luck?
My good luck charm is my network, which is why one of my core values is collaboration over competition. Centering partnerships as part of my business operations allows me to grow in a nurturing environment of powerhouse leaders going through a similar journey. We share opportunities, refer clients, and support each other every step of the way.

Of course, working hard and effectively leveraging your expertise matters. But the cheerleaders rallying behind your vision, connecting you to their networks, and sharing your mission acts as a catalyst to live your purpose.
