Exploring Life and Business with Robin Nash of NuWay Title and Escrow

Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin Nash.

Hi Robin, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’m the President/Owner of NuWay Title & Escrow and Realtor for C3 Real Estate Solutions, Wife of Rich, Mom to Nicolette Lynch of The Cozy Grain Sign Co., and Nani to two adorable grandkids.

Shortly after high school, I landed a job as a receptionist at a title company that truly launched me into a boots-on-the-ground career. My mentor was a very dynamic salesman who took me under his wing and taught me virtually everything I know about smart business decisions. Additionally, my mother, a highly successful entrepreneur has been an amazing coach, and my husband Rich encouraged me every step of the way. 38 years later, I am realizing the dream of owning my own thriving title company. That said, the true heart of what makes me tick is philanthropy.

In 2002 our family started a nonprofit called Mariah’s Kids in memory of our daughter Mariah. Her dream was to become a special needs teacher and when she made her unexpected trip to heaven, we created a grant-making fund to assist kids with special needs for art, equine, and music therapy. We fell in love with the idea of equine therapy and really took off with that by starting our own horse rescue/equine therapy ranch. We saved and connected Premarin Foals and off-the-track Thoroughbred Race Horses with at-risk teens for an equine interactive experience. What a wild ride that was!

After several years of helping hundreds of teens, I felt compelled to take it to another level. Often, once the teens had graduated from whatever program they were involved in, they would fall into a ‘hole’ of sorts and lean toward recidivism. I began to have a vision for a program designed to equip and empower women with life skills and career training that would help them realize their dreams. Just because they’ve been through ‘stuff’, and often are forced to check the dreaded ‘felon’ box doesn’t mean their life is over. Finally, after all those years of corporate management, I was able to take all I had learned and pay it forward.

In 2013, we formed A Place for Grace, a social enterprise boutique. The Boutique served not only as a training ground for women in crisis but a perpetual fundraising mechanism and networking platform. Our on-site classes were formed through extensive research focused on entrepreneurialism, positive mindset, career growth, and defining character traits that drive us.

By God’s design, a few months before the pandemic, we chose to lay the non-profit to rest. The timing for this was truly perfect had we known what was coming for many small business owners. Now, my time is spent focusing on growing our new title business as well as spending time with my grandchildren and enjoying freedom with my husband. How do I balance my career, philanthropy, and family? My multi-tasking skills are immense, and I have an extremely supportive husband and a very helpful daughter.

I look forward to what the future holds and how God will use me next! My best advice for new business owners is, “There is no glass ceiling! If you have a dream, pursue it one step at a time. You may find it looks completely different when you arrive but it’s the journey that counts! If you hit roadblocks, always remember that there is a solution to every problem, you just have to find it. Keep pushing through and don’t give up!”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As my mom always says, “A river with no rocks has no song”. Truly, every step of the way has been difficult. That is why success is always so sweet and rewarding. I love chaos though so the difficulties are just a challenge for me.

As you know, we’re big fans of NuWay Title and Escrow. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
NuWay Title & Escrow is a joint venture formed with C3 Real Estate Solutions, an award-winning real estate company in Northern Colorado. NuWay Title has a dynamically energetic NuWay of handling the real estate closing process. We take pride in curating a tailored process that results in the highest quality of service, products, and interactive platforms in the industry.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
This actually cracks me up. My husband and I talk about it a lot. I’m a risk-taker and tend to stand on the edge of the cliff waiting for the next opportunity. My husband is always the voice of reason talking me off of the cliff and slowing me down to weigh all sides. It’s always a win-win!
