Today we’d like to introduce you to Shane Morrison.

Hi Shane, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up in an allopathic family, always being medicated for injuries and sickness. Soon I became 28 years old, everything hit at the same time, Dad passed away, an office was sold to new owners who fired me during a blizzard, and I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that involved blood and mucus symptoms 20x a day, rapidly losing weight and starting a new business in a city that I had just moved to. I was able to change my diet, which not only conquered my autoimmune disease, but it helped other aches pain ailments heal. Ive been in remission for 4 years, and I spread this message to patients with similar things in my chiropractic office to help them heal. I currently help patients heal their own bodies through chiropractic, exercise and nutrition. If you fuel your body correctly, and treat it correctly it can do amazing things.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not smooth, but I wouldn’t ask for it any other way. The ride wouldn’t be worth it if it was easy.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I specialize in Gonstead chiropractic and we also use machines that decompress disc herniations with my other business. What sets us apart is telling patients what they need to do, not what they want to hear. This can not only change their outcomes, but it can change the outcomes of people they know and love. We’re tired of seeing sick people come into our office smoking cigarettes, drinking mountain dew all day, and asking why is it that they are always sick, always need another surgery, or are medicated to the point of no return.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
It’ll keep getting more popular. Society wants a different healthcare system that is health care and not sick care. Empowering patients to have the ability to stop masking symptoms and getting down to the root cause will continue to grow.
