Exploring Life & Business with Taylor Cronin of Gracee May Aesthetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Cronin.

Taylor Cronin

Hi Taylor, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Taylor, I’m a registered nurse, aesthetic injector, and the owner of Gracee May Aesthetics LLC. My nursing career started in the operating room at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. My husband and I made the move to Parker, Colorado about four years ago.

I have a son, named Wyatt, who is about nine months old. When I was finishing up my maternity leave I realized I did not want to go back to the hospital. Hospital life had changed since I started nursing, and I was over the idea of being mentally and physically drained at all hours of the day.

The idea for Gracee May Aesthetics has always been in the back of my mind, and it was always a dream of mine to start something of my own. I figured there was no better time to just go for it than now, and I am so happy I took the more difficult path of creating a dream life for my family and our future.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I would say the biggest obstacle is the initial step outside of your comfort zone.

Taking the leap and quitting my full-time job to pursue a dream was not an easy one, but luckily, my family and friends have been the biggest supporters along the way. If you have the opportunity, just go for it. There is no better time than now.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Gracee May Aesthetics is a concierge service delivering personalized anti-aging and cosmetic treatments to you in the Denver Metro area, making your skincare journey beautifully convenient. I specialize in personalized anti-aging treatment plans utilizing medical-grade skincare and neuromodulators. I created this business to help others regain the confidence they deserve, while being in the comfort of their own home, leaving them refreshed at their doorstep.

Growing up, I was always a goal-driven person. I started ice skating when I was 4 years old and competed until I was 22. I always sought challenges and wanted to be the best at whatever I set my mind to. I grew my skating career quickly and created a name for myself by representing Team USA in synchronized skating and then skating for the University of Illinois. I knew there was a large gap to fill in my life once I decided to retire from the skating world. I feel blessed to have found nursing.

The operating room gave me the constant challenge and purpose-driven work that I have always strived for while allowing me to be a part of a team. This, I believe, is what sets me apart. I have been chasing success since a very young age and do not plan to stop anytime soon. Gracee May Aesthetics gives me the opportunity to continuously build my success while creating a name for myself in aesthetics and nursing.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important thing I’ve learned so far as a business owner is the ability to adapt to change. In the world of small business, change is constant.

Learning to adapt to these changes quickly and effectively is crucial for survival and growth. I have also found the importance of continuous learning. Staying curious, and opening your mind to new ways of practicing your business has helped me stay competitive.
