Exploring Life & Business with Tyler Goddard of LeVita Beverages

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Goddard.

Hi Tyler, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
After developing my career in the F&B industry, receiving a culinary degree, traveling, and studying extensively I was able to further develop a multitude of companies in different industries. I later started a beverage company to bring consistent and exotic cocktails to Denver & Beyond.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a successful business has never been easy and never will be. My biggest struggle starting was balancing university, a full-time job, and starting this company. I rarely had time to myself when I started. The biggest struggle you will face when starting a business is the lack of a “work-life balance”. There rarely is one. If you want to start a business that will stand out in the market, there will be many sleepless nights and probably not a whole lot of anything outside of work.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
LeVita Beverages is a line of premixed cocktails that gives our customers the same high-end complex cocktails they would find at a bar or restaurant with the ease of a pour. Every drink has an exotic and unique flavor that elevates your drinking experience. LeVita Beverages specializes in catering large events that would like to have a cocktail that tastes like it was made by a veteran mixologist with just two or three steps. Mix LeVita with a spirit, shake, and pour.

Additionally, LeVita gives the consumer the option to have mocktails which have become popular recently. For large events, venues, and restaurants we even offer to create a mix that is specialized to their company and delivered directly to them. The main thing that our brand is proud of is that we use fresh ingredients for all of our mixes meaning that all of our mixes will taste fresh, unlike many other pre-mixes you find at your local grocery store or liquor store. We are additionally proud of our marketing program.

We have developed very strong relationships with the Denver area food bloggers and influencers who not only help us market LeVita but the restaurants who carry us! We currently offer catering services for large and small events such as office parties or weddings, and restaurant and bar sales, and we sell directly to the consumer through our restaurant partner in Boulder, Colorado.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I always wanted to own a business. Even when I was twelve years old I would try to start “snow shoveling businesses”. To say the least, those did not always go so well. My younger years were full of outdoor activities and exploring new things.

Later in life, I became obsessed with travel, food, art, and running a business of my own. I went to culinary school but found my love in alcohol and cocktails. I always loved creating new drinks and watching the enjoyment and perplexity on the guest’s faces when they would try some crazy flavor. I always loved, and still love encouraging people to get out of their comfort zones when it comes to trying new foods and drinks.
