Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyra Cobb.
Hi Tyra, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story hasn’t followed a perfectly straight path. I’ve always been creative, ambitious, and full of ideas, but for a long time, much of my energy was focused on simply surviving and trying to figure out what direction my life was supposed to take. I worked different jobs, explored different interests, and often felt the pressure to have everything figured out. Although those experiences sometimes made me question whether I was falling behind, they also helped me learn more about who I am, what I value, and the kind of life I truly want to create.
As I approached 30, I reached a point where I no longer wanted to keep waiting for the “perfect” time to become the woman I envisioned. I started rebuilding myself intentionally—mentally, physically, spiritually, and financially. I began journaling, reading, working on my health, creating content, and asking myself honest questions about what was keeping me stuck. That process helped me recognize that I wasn’t starting over; I was finally building from a place of greater self-awareness.
That personal journey inspired me to create Aligned Planner Co. I began developing the kinds of resources I needed during my own uncertain seasons—tools that could help people understand themselves, gain clarity, create structure, and move forward with intention. My products, including the Aligned Planner, 10 Questions to Ask Yourself When You Feel Lost in Life, 30 & Not Behind, and Becoming Her: The 90-Day Reset, were all born from real parts of my own growth.
Today, I’m building a brand centered on self-discovery, alignment, and transformation while documenting my own journey in real time. I’m still learning, evolving, and becoming, and I believe that honesty is an important part of my story. I don’t want people to look at me and believe I have everything figured out—I want them to see that they can begin creating a meaningful life even while they are still finding their way.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. One of my greatest challenges has been trying to build a meaningful vision for my life while moving through seasons of survival mode. I have experienced financial uncertainty, career changes, personal setbacks, and moments when I had to begin again without knowing exactly where the new path would lead. When so much of your energy is focused on getting through the present, it can be difficult to give yourself permission to dream about the future.
I have also had to overcome internal struggles such as self-doubt, perfectionism, comparison, and the pressure to have everything figured out by a certain age. Because I have many interests and ideas, there were times when I questioned whether I lacked direction. As I approached 30, those feelings became even stronger, and I had to confront the fear that I was behind in life.
Eventually, I realized that I wasn’t lacking ambition or potential—I needed clarity, structure, and the confidence to trust my own path. I stopped believing that I had to see the entire staircase before taking the first step. I began rebuilding through small, intentional decisions and creating the resources I wished I had during my most uncertain seasons.
The challenges have not completely disappeared, but I no longer wait for life to become perfect before moving forward. I now understand that growth can happen in the middle of uncertainty and that starting again is not a sign of failure. In many ways, the difficult parts of my journey became the foundation for my purpose: helping other people feel less lost, trust themselves again, and recognize that they are not behind.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Aligned Planner Co. is a self-discovery, personal-development, and intentional-living brand created to help people gain clarity, reconnect with themselves, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want. I create guided digital planners, ebooks, workbooks, and reflective resources for people who may feel lost, stuck, overwhelmed, or behind in life but know they are ready for something more.
At the center of the brand is the Aligned Planner, a digital planning experience that incorporates Human Design and astrology. Traditional planners often expect everyone to organize their lives, manage their energy, and pursue their goals in the same way. The Aligned Planner takes a more personal approach by encouraging users to understand their individual Human Design profile and consider the influence of the current zodiac season when planning their days.
The planner includes guidance to help users understand their Human Design profile, recognize the natural strengths and tendencies associated with it, and apply that knowledge to their routines, priorities, and decision-making. It also provides insight into the themes and energy of each zodiac season, allowing users to reflect on how those themes may support their current goals. Features such as daily gratitude, mood and water tracking, alignment-focused actions, reflection prompts, and profile-energy check-ins help users plan according to who they are rather than constantly forcing themselves into routines that may not feel natural or sustainable.
The goal is to create a planning experience that goes beyond completing a to-do list. It helps users become more aware of how they are moving through their day, work with their energy more intentionally, and make decisions that support both their responsibilities and personal growth. It is designed to help someone feel productive without becoming disconnected from themselves in the process.
My other offerings include 10 Questions to Ask Yourself When You Feel Lost in Life, 30 & Not Behind, its companion workbook, and Becoming Her: The 90-Day Reset. Together, these resources support different stages of transformation—from uncovering what has been keeping someone stuck to developing the structure, habits, and intentional actions needed to move forward.
What sets Aligned Planner Co. apart is that the brand was created from lived experience. I am not speaking from a place of having life completely figured out; I am documenting my own rebuilding process and turning the questions, lessons, and practices that have helped me into resources for others. I want people to feel supported rather than judged and encouraged rather than pressured to transform overnight.
I am most proud that I took seasons when I felt uncertain or behind and created something meaningful from them. The heart of Aligned Planner Co. is the belief that you do not need every answer before you begin. You can meet yourself where you are, gain clarity one honest question at a time, and intentionally become the person you know you are capable of being.
So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is living a life rooted in God, peace, purpose, freedom, and meaningful connection with the people I love. After spending so much time in survival mode, I have learned that success is not only about how much money I make or what I accomplish. It is also about having peace in my everyday life, being present with my family, and knowing that the work I am doing has meaning.
Freedom is especially important to me. I want my husband and me to create a life where we have greater ownership of our time, choices, and future. I do not want our lives to be defined only by working to survive. I want us to have the ability to build, experience life together, support our future family, and create something that can extend beyond us. Financial freedom is part of that vision, but so are emotional, spiritual, and creative freedom.
It also matters deeply to me that my experiences serve a purpose. I know what it feels like to question your direction, doubt yourself, and wonder whether you are behind. If sharing my journey or creating an honest resource can help someone feel understood, discover a blind spot, or take one meaningful step forward, then my difficult seasons were not wasted.
Ultimately, what matters most is becoming the woman God is calling me to be while helping other people recognize what is possible for them. I want to build a life and legacy that reflect growth, intention, faith, and the courage to keep becoming—even when the journey does not unfold exactly as planned.
