Today we’d like to introduce you to Xoshil Morales.

Xoshil Morales

Hi Xoshil, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Pura Vida Catering

Pura Vida Catering was born out of a passion for delivering happiness through food. I was a nomad when I first thought of it and the business plan was envisioned at 13,000 feet in the back of our 1998 4runner. Taking time to travel allowed me to focus more on learning the right cooking skills and developing more ideas.

With over five years of restaurant experience and three years in wedding events, the founder envisioned a catering service that brings uniquely crafted meals to everyone’s special occasions.

Pura Vida Catering specializes in weddings, corporate events, private dinners, and more, ensuring each dish is meticulously prepared and memorable. Their mission is to provide an exceptional culinary experience, allowing clients to savor the rich flavors of Latin-inspired food.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Mmmmhmmm, nope, unfortunately!

From being rear-ended and losing our main vehicle to slicing a finger… It’s been a rocky road but it has strengthened my faith and brought me closer to being the person God wants me to be.

Every time I walk into my kitchen I ask God to use me as his vessel to serve my clients not only delicious food but also nutritious and good for their soul.

I hope that everyone can see good and kindness through the food served and how we carry our business.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We’ve been impressed with Pura Vida Catering, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

What sets us apart is our deep desire to serve the community. Yes, we are a for-profit business because the operating costs of a Food Business are extremely high. But, at Pura Vida Catering, we aim to educate, share knowledge, collaborate, donate to nonprofits, help the homeless, and be a light in an increasingly dark world. Denver faces a lot of challenges, we want to continue to grow so that we can share a little bit of light with the world.

We truly believe that passion and love show in our food. The first step in our cooking process is always blessing the food and giving thanks for the opportunity to serve. We are convinced that love is the most special ingredient in everything we cook. So, give our food a chance, you won’t regret it!

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?

To me happiness is a blend of simple joys and meaningful connections. There’s something incredibly comforting about homemade food. The warmth and love put into a meal is irreplaceable and it reminds me to find happiness in the little moments.

I find peace and rejuvenation in nature, and cold water. I love fresh pies, the perfect chai, my loved ones and helping others. All these things bring a profound sense of fulfillment and purpose, reminding me that happiness is often found in the impact we have on the lives of those around us.
