Hidden Gems: Meet Ashley Shore of Palpable Healing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Shore.

Hi Ashley, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My first “clients” were my aunt’s shoulders. She’d ask us kids for “spa treatments” and tell me I was good at massage — probably just so I’d keep going. I’m a sucker for compliments, so it worked.

In 2010, my son and I moved to Denver, and I fell in love with the city right away. As a young single mom, I was waitressing and looking for a career that would give me both stability and flexibility. In 2011, I started looking at massage schools. I went in for one meeting, and by the time I left, I was somehow signed up to start classes that Monday. I was freaked out — but I also knew if I didn’t do it then, I never would.

Massage school was intense, but I had a lot of support from my family and that made all the difference. I graduated in 2012, and I’ve been a massage therapist ever since.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a young single mom while building a career came with plenty of hurdles. Time, money, and energy were always stretched thin, and there were moments I wasn’t sure how I’d keep everything afloat. Some weeks were slow, some seasons unpredictable, and like any small business owner, I had to learn as I went.

What got me through was resilience, the support of my family, and trusting my intuition — the same intuition I now bring into every massage session. Each challenge taught me how to adapt, how to listen more carefully, and how to keep moving forward even when things felt uncertain.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I’m a licensed massage therapist with 13 years of experience and the owner of Palpable Healing in Westminster, CO. After working in Denver, I moved back to Wyoming in 2015, where I built a successful practice. During the pandemic, I returned to Denver, but I still maintain a loyal client base in Wyoming and travel back once a month to work there.

I specialize in therapeutic massage that blends relaxation with targeted work to relieve pain and tension. Something that makes my work unique is how intuitive I am in my sessions. I’ve always had a strong ability to sense what people need — not just by listening to their words, but by tuning in to what their body is communicating. I carefully combine that intuition with technique so every session is personalized. That blend of skill and sensitivity is why so many of my clients stay with me long term.

I believe massage isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. Helping people feel more at home in their bodies is what keeps me passionate about this work.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
My son will always be my greatest accomplishment, and this career has given me the freedom to show up for him every step of the way. What matters most to me is connection — with my family, my community, and every client who trusts me to care for them. Each person’s body and story are unique, and I want them to leave knowing they were listened to, supported, and cared for.
I started this journey as a young single mom determined to make something of myself, and 13 years later, I’ve built a career I love in two states. Using intuition and technique to guide everything I do — and I’m only getting started.
