Today we’d like to introduce you to Brady Kellogg.
Hi Brady, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
While I studied human biology in college, I’ve spent my career on the business side of sports- all in Colorado and the bulk of which has been specifically in the area of corporate partnerships.
My role as the Rocky Mountain Lead for Positive Athlete is new as of January 2025, as part our national expansion.
Prior to that I led the partnerships team for the Denver Broncos (a 25 year tenure that included multiple Super Bowl championships) and most recently helped grow partnerships for USA Pickleball, one of the fastest-growing sports in America. So it’s all tied together by community engagement and strategic brand alignment across professional and amateur sports.
I joined Positive Athlete to create meaningful opportunities for student-athletes, combining my industry expertise with a personal passion for youth development. Having seen firsthand how sports shape lives, I was driven to support the high school space—where leadership, character, and long-term values take root. Positive Athlete allows me to build impactful partnerships that deliver measurable benefit to communities and future leaders.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We are fortunate to have some great momentum at Positive Athlete, reaching in Colorado the highest percentage of nominating schools from any new market in 2025. Scaling so rapidly from two employee and operations in two starts to a national program reaching 25% of all high schools in the U.S. within the first year has meant lots of new relationships and learning new processes such that there are small growing pains time to time. But it’s always very energizing and when people’s hearts are in the right spots it’s easy to see a bright future.
As you know, we’re big fans of Positive Athlete. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Positive Athlete provides recognition, scholarships and development for high character high school student-athletes through a national program that is free to both nominees and nominators. We spotlight those kids who embody the character traits that make our communities stronger- volunteering their time, overcoming obstacles and demonstrating the kind of leadership that gives us hope for the future. This is all done from the lens of helping prepare athletes for life/careers, also creating a platform through which corporations can promote their career tracks and ultimately hire these athletes given all of their desirable transferable skills.
It’s a free program that takes as little as five minutes to nominate. Any adult (coach, teacher, parent- even of for their own kid) can nominate and there are no limits on the number of nominations. Boys or girls, grades 9-12, any sport. NOMINATE AT POSITIVEATHLETE.ORG

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
The entire Colorado high school sports community has been tremendous. From the state association CHSAA and school based athletic directors to groups like the Colorado Athletic Trainers Association and Colorado Rural Schools Alliance, everyone has been excited about our mission and eager to help spread the word. Awareness is really the name of the game as once familiar with our free and fast program many people describe it as a no brainer. I’m excited to watch this early momentum bridge into more corporate support to grow scholarships as well as showcase their business/industry to Positive Athlete nominees as they start to explore future careers.
We never would have been able to roll out this quickly and smoothly if not for 12 years perfecting the Positive Athlete model in Pennsylvania and Georgia. Our Founder/CEO Scott Pederson and President Ryan Pederson deserve a lot of credit for having the vision and courage to expand, and for creating the original model but also being open to evolution.
