Hidden Gems: Meet Celeste Chavez of Therapeutic Skincare

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celeste Chavez.

Celeste Chavez

Hi Celeste, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I played sports my entire life – I love working with other women and creating bonds and friendships. I had a shoulder injury in high school and could no longer play softball at any level – so I have been searching for a new community to grow in. I worked in gyms for years and I was not a fan of working in a male-based industry. I started working for a Spa in Cherry Creek in 2016 and I instantly fell in love. I got my first facial from a very close friend of mine and instantly realized that is what I wanted to do and that is how I could empower other humans.

I was enrolled in a laser college shortly after and I have had my license since 2018. I did not go solo until 2022. I would have done this transition much faster but – covid. When I opened my studio, I originally was a generalist and quickly realized just because I could offer everything didn’t mean I wanted to. I quickly niched down and I have found my few passions – working with people with acne/hormonal imbalances, brides, and skincare newbies. I love educating and helping people find the perfect at-home routine.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This has been the rockiest path I’ve ever taken. I was dealing with untreated anxiety and depression thinking that I was just tired. Once I started therapy, I was able to become a business owner and kind of let go of most of my self-doubt.

I learned to embrace my moods. Recently, I have learned (from my amazing friend and pilates instructor – Rachel Wright) that synching your daily routine with my hormone cycle is the best way to balance work assignments. Once I have started doing that my days have been much more productive.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Therapeutic Skincare is a certified acne clinic. I specialize in acne/pre-wedding Skincare/ and helping in curating the best at-home routine. I am known for amazing acne transformations and offering Glo2facial as well as microneedling.

What sets me apart from others is I went to one of the best esthetic schools/I have been working full time on medical esthetics since graduating/I have so much knowledge in hormones and how they affect the body and the skin.

I am most proud of the confidence that I have given back to people. The number one thing I would love readers to know is that everything I offer in treatment and products – I test for over 45 days to make sure that it will work.
