Hidden Gems: Meet Celine Gregory of The Raw Pet Company

Today we’d like to introduce you to Celine Gregory.

Celine Gregory

Hi Celine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
As long as I can remember I dreamed of becoming a vet. I loved animals and wanted to help them. I started pre-vet at UW River Falls and quickly realized it wasn’t the school for me. I decided to take a year off but still work with pets. That’s when I found Rio Grooming School. 5 months later i opened up my own pet boutique in St.Paul, MN. It was automatically successful. During my 5 years in business I fell in love with learning other holistic modalities. I focus on pets skin and coat health and now am also getting a certification in clinical pet nutrition with an emphasis on raw feeding.

6 months ago I moved to Denver and wanting to continue my business but shift focus to the naturopathic side of animals pet care. The Raw pet company as a whole offers free education, trusted products, in home grooming services, skin and coat consults, nutrition consults and more. I love helping pet owners through their pets health issues and finding ways to prevent future issues, support the pets body, and build trust.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Lots of ups and downs. My first business went really smooth except for the fact that finding groomers is difficult so I was very overworked.

The Raw Pet Company on the other hand has been different. It has pushed me into uncomfortable places like content creation and truly believing in my knowledge and ability to help clients. It’s terrifying but worth pushing through the fear.

We’ve been impressed with The Raw Pet Company, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Raw Pet Company is a safe place for clients to learn all things pets. We are holistic driven but focus on the pet in front of us . We want to support the pet as best as we can and take preventative measures for the future. I focus on skin and coat health as a full time groomer while using products that keep them balanced and healthy. I also love nutrition and raw feeding and love to help pet owners figure out a diet that works for their specific pet. Right now I am most known for my one on one grooming and my ability to work with difficult dogs. I want to move towards more nutrition based services as that has been my passion lately. I truly try to listen to pet owners concerns and find the best way to support or manage them within the parameters they have.

I would love for people to know about my skin and nutrition consults. I can help improve skin issues with products and supplements or help with weight issues, sensitive stomach issues and preventative measures.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love that Denver and Colorado as a whole is so dog friendly. So many people have dogs here and do so much with them. I wish that regulations and licensing for a lot of dog businesses were put into place, especially for grooming. We have so many trained groomers here but there are so many people that just start a dog grooming business on the side. It really hurts the industry and the trust pet owners want and need to have with their groomer.
