Crystal’s early life in Colorado was marked by instability. Raised in a household marred by her mother’s alcoholism and her father’s absence, she experienced a nomadic childhood devoid of security. Determined to break this cycle, Crystal resolved to provide a stable and loving environment for any future children she might have, far removed from the charity-dependent life she knew.

At 11, she made the pivotal decision to live with her aunt, and by 18, she embarked on an independent life. One of her first jobs was providing tours of model homes for her father’s employer, a role that ignited her interest in real estate.

Despite her tough upbringing, Crystal views her past as a series of valuable lessons. “My childhood taught me the importance of perseverance and self-reliance,” she reflects with a positive outlook. “Every challenge was a stepping stone towards betterment.”

Her academic journey led her from community college to cosmetology school, followed by a variety of roles in retail, call centers, and professional offices. When her daughter was born in 2005, Crystal embraced motherhood fully, pausing her career to become a stay-at-home mom. However, a difficult divorce necessitated a return to the workforce, which led her to Gold’s Gym. There, she found more than physical fitness; she found a supportive community and a mentor in Josh, the gym’s regional vice president, and a future franchise owner. His guidance inspired her to envision a new career path.

Ascending to the position of General Manager across several gym locations, Crystal found success but yearned for a role with a more personal connection. Recalling her early interest in real estate, she pursued a REALTOR® license with support from her husband, Shawn. Her diverse professional background, encompassing over two decades in sales, marketing, and management, proved invaluable in her new endeavor.

Transitioning to real estate was challenging, especially moving from a fixed corporate salary to a commission-based income. Yet, Crystal thrived, leveraging her network from the gym community to assist clients in achieving their real estate dreams. She personalized each transaction, reflecting her commitment to her clients.

In her first year alone, she helped over 25 families, leading her to establish Everyday Properties and Investments. Beyond her professional achievements, Crystal remains deeply committed to community service. She donates to charities with every closing and engages in volunteer work, addressing issues like depression, eating disorders, and suicide, and serving on the Board for the YMCA.

Residing in Colorado Springs for the past 12 years with her family, Crystal balances her career with personal pursuits like hiking and traveling, cherishing the stable, joy-filled life she has created for her family, a stark contrast to her childhood.

Crystal’s drive isn’t fueled by accolades or numbers but by the people she helps. “Watching my clients flourish and being a part of their lives beyond the transaction is incredibly rewarding,” she says. “It’s fulfilling to be seen as a leader in my field after only five years, affirming that I’m making a positive impact.” Crystal’s journey from a turbulent childhood to a respected real estate professional is a testament to her resilience, determination, and the transformative power of a positive outlook and hard work.

Their expertise in modern, inviting décor plays a crucial role in staging homes for sale, enhancing their appeal and marketability. Furthermore, the couple also operates Springs Photobooth, a company that adds a fun and memorable element to various events through photo booth rentals, providing unique entertainment for guests. Their latest venture, Everyday Agent Empower, marks a bold step into the realm of professional development.
