Hi Jason, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I founded Spotlight Social LLC in 2016 after working as a Los Angeles Police Officer in the worst areas of LA for 13 years. I was tired of the politics and everything going on at the department. I saw an opportunity in the digital marketing space jumped in with both feet and the next thing I knew I was making more money as an agency owner than a policeman.

I left the dept and didn’t look back.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Many struggles along the way but well worth it. I now control my time and spend more time at home with my family.

As you know, we’re big fans of Spotlight Social Media Consulting, LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a social media agency that helps businesses grow with paid media ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and Snapchat. Businesses come to us to drive more sales to their online store. Drive more leads to their business or whatever their offer is.

We do this by creating ads that capture attention, stop the scroll, and then click on their site.

We create the ad, target the right person, and drive sales.

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes, that when everyone was home, they were shopping like crazy and this gave business owners a false sense of how well their business was doing. When that ended, so did many businesses.
