Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our story starting Maple Air was truly a vision of making a difference and looking at what we can contribute to the world. Something we can do to not only make a difference but build something for our kids and community.

Kevin and I went on a mission trip with our church to Peru, we embraced the culture that was a total shock coming from how blessed we are here in Colorado. I watched families take the little they had and use their skills to make a living. That looked like living behind their shops, their children selling the goods or food. I remember this sweet little girl, she must have been 5 or 6, bargaining with me for a soda and bag of chips. I gave her more than she asked for and to see her face light up knowing that she was so proud to show her parents she contributed to their needs. It hit us so DEEP.

I remember walking down the road thinking, these people have so little but they are so happy. Doing what they love together and contributing to their community. I knew this was something I needed to bring back with me on this trip. Kevin and I agreed we would chase this same desire at home.

Kevin has been in HVAC for over 10 years and I have years of large scale training experience, the trades are special to us. Not to mention we need MORE people to get into the industry to support the infrastructure we already have moving forward. Why not build something focused on growing the industry with well educated trades men and woman, in a family owned environment where you are well trained and supported.

Maple Air will be family owned, we will not be a corporate giant whose only focus is financially driven. As we grow we want to give our employees the opportunity to buy shares into the company and gives them the opportunity to earn more money, while being valued. We will keep our values at the forefront! Education and growth, Northern Colorado was built on the American dream and we want to do our part to help it continue to grow!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
We have been embraced by the community but it can be hard being a small business and competing with the large corporate owned companies. They have more money to buy ad’s and push us smaller guys down the Google search engines.

Each day we hear of small/mid size HVAC companies being purchased and moved into large corporations, who only want to over sell and un educate homeowners. We don’t believe in showing up for no cost and over selling you on brand new units. We believe if you can fix it, you fix it. If you can’t fix it then we need to discuss other options! That’s where having educated techs is key.

We have gotten more business from word of mouth and our local Facebook groups supporting small business!

In a family-owned HVAC business, success means building something that lasts. It’s about earning trust in our community, delivering reliable service every time, and knowing customers call us back because they believe in our work. Financial growth matters, but real success is having a strong reputation, loyal customers, skilled employees who feel valued, and a business we’re proud to pass down to the next generation. If our customers are comfortable in their homes, our team is taken care of, and our name stands for quality — that’s success.
