Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsay White.
Hi Lindsay, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
The Little Milk Bar was born on my kitchen table after I was told to breastfeed my son in a bathroom at a wedding. That moment was a turning point for me. I felt humiliated and completely alone—but it sparked something bigger. On the drive home, I told my husband I was going to start a business that made sure no other mom ever felt like that.
It started with one simple T-shirt—the Milk Maker Tee—which sold out in just a few hours. It wasn’t just a shirt; it was a message. A statement. That breastfeeding is normal, it’s powerful, and it belongs everywhere. Since then, The Little Milk Bar has grown into a powerful community of women who support each other through the highs and lows of motherhood. Our brand has become a voice for change—whether it’s through unapologetic merch, viral social media posts, or grassroots advocacy.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Owning a small business is never smooth, but all the challenges have truly taught me something along the way. I would say owning a business requires a lot of resilience and determination. I am the type of person, that when I have a vision, I will do whatever it takes to have my vision come to life. This can be something like a marketing campaign, where I have a specific idea for how a video or email will look and sometimes it truly takes me thinking outside of the box for how I will execute my idea. Sometimes this can feel a little overwhelming, when I have a million other pressing things to do on my list, but I am always able to find a way to have my creative vision come to life.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
The Little Milk Bar is more than just a brand — it’s a movement reshaping the way society views breastfeeding parents. Before The Little Milk Bar existed, breastfeeding in public wasn’t even legal in all 50 states, and our ads were routinely removed or flagged as “sexual content.”
From day one, we’ve used our platform to challenge outdated narratives and break down the stigma surrounding breastfeeding. We’re proud to help normalize what has always been natural, necessary, and completely normal.
At The Little Milk Bar, we create products designed specifically for breastfeeding mothers — pieces that are comfortable, stylish, and made with exceptional quality. Our hope is that our customers love and cherish our products long after their breastfeeding journey ends. Most importantly, we want every breastfeeding parent to feel seen, supported, and represented through the products we make.
