Hidden Gems: Meet Melissa and Shelby Wall of Wilder Label

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa and Shelby Wall. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Wilder was created by sister-in-laws Mel & Shelby Wall. Thoughtfully curated apparel and merchandise inspired by the outdoors & adventuring. Wilder is a women-owned, Colorado-based company dedicated to designing and sourcing high-quality products to keep you cozy on and off the trails. After countless days brainstorming & planning, Wilder launched their first collection of apparel, beanies, dog bandanas, 100% soy candles & more in August 2022.

Wilder started as a simple idea over a glass of wine & through word of mouth has quickly spread all throughout Colorado & the U.S. Our mission is to create a community of adventurers, inspire others to explore the outdoors, & donate a percentage of sales back to local charities.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Every business has its ups and downs, which is part of the process. Our branding and the quality of our products is very important when we’re brainstorming our product ideas. There is a lot of trial and error to perfect what we are trying to accomplish. You can’t give up when it gets hard and have to remain focused on why you started the business in the first place.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Mel & Shelby both have a background in entrepreneurship. Mel’s graphic design skills and marketing expertise, along with Shelby’s professional photography background have paired well together to create the Wilder brand.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least about our city?
Wilder’s favorite thing about being a Colorado-based company is the community & like-minded individuals who share a passion for exploring and adventuring. We are always surrounded by mountains, which is a very big part of the brand and inspires us each and every day.
