Today we’d like to introduce you to Olivia Merrill & Jennifer Diaz.
Hi Olivia Merrill &, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
The Denver Look began as a local fashion and lifestyle blog highlighting Denver’s hidden gems and local businesses. As life evolved, especially after becoming a mom, so did the brand. What started as a creative outlet grew into a purpose-driven platform that celebrates community, connection, and local entrepreneurship.
Rooted in Olivia Merrill’s decade-plus-long career in Denver real estate, The Denver Look was originally designed to bridge her work with her passion for supporting small businesses. Olivia knew that real estate, like branding, thrives within the community. The Denver Look became a way to give her clients added value, create exposure for local business owners, and strengthen the fabric of the Denver area.
Through this journey, Olivia developed deep expertise in branding, content creation, and storytelling, discovering firsthand how strategy and aesthetics can elevate a business. Today, she channels that knowledge into serving the community helping Denver-based brands build intentional identities and sustainable growth through a-back-and-better-than-ever ‘’The Denver Look’’.

When Olivia invited me to co-lead The Denver Look, it felt like a natural evolution. With a background in wardrobe consulting and a degree in marketing, I’ve spent the last five years helping C-level executives lead with presence from their personal style to the first impression their brand makes without saying a word. Most recently, I’ve worked with both local businesses and nationally recognized brands to craft marketing campaigns that connect and convert.
Now, as we relaunch The Denver Look as a branding and content studio, I bring that same intentional lens style meets strategy to help local businesses find their voice, elevate their visuals, and show up with confidence. What once started in a client’s closet now begins at the core of their brand.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road and that’s been part of the process. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing motherhood while running multiple businesses and building The Denver Look into its next chapter. Becoming a mom reshaped my priorities and pace, and learning how to grow intentionally without burning out has been a constant lesson.
The Denver Look originally began as a fashion and lifestyle blog, so when we rebranded it into a full branding and content creation agency, we entered that transition with a strong visual presence. Behind the scenes, though, we were still developing the internal systems and client experience to support that shift.
In the beginning, we tried to merge two separate visions into one brand. Over time, it became clear they were always meant to grow independently. That decision brought clarity and fresh momentum. We relaunched with new energy, and while the visibility was exciting, it revealed how much structure was still missing behind the scenes. That awareness led us to slow down not as a setback, but as a strategic recalibration.
That pause gave us space to build a stronger foundation one that’s aligned, intentional, and designed for long-term sustainability
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about The Denver Look?
The Denver Look is a branding and creative studio rooted in community, clarity, and intentional growth. We specialize in helping local businesses evolve their brand identity not just visually, but strategically so they can show up with confidence, consistency, and purpose.
What sets us apart is our belief that branding is the backbone of a business, not an accessory. We don’t approach branding as a one-time design project or a trend-driven exercise. Instead, we guide our clients through a thoughtful process that connects who they are, what they stand for, and how they want to grow and then translate that into visuals, messaging, and content that actually works in the real world.
We are especially known for our hyper-local focus, our emphasis on clarity over aesthetics, and our ability to bridge branding with social media content creation in a way that feels aligned rather than overwhelming. Our work blends strategy, storytelling, and design… helping businesses move from scattered and inconsistent to intentional and recognizable. What we’re most proud of, brand-wise, is building The Denver Look with the same integrity we bring to our clients. We’ve taken the time to refine our process, define our values, and ensure that everything we create reflects who we are and what we believe. Our own brand has become a living case study! Proof that when you slow down, get clear, and build with intention, the growth that follows is stronger and more sustainable.
What we want readers to know is this… The Denver Look exists to empower local businesses. Whether through branding, content strategy, or creative direction, our goal is to give business owners the confidence and tools they need to grow in a way that feels authentic, aligned, and lasting.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The future of branding is less about looking good and more about feeling right. Audiences are craving authenticity, alignment, and emotional connection. Brands that understand who they are, communicate with intention, and build community especially at the local level will outperform those chasing trends or surface-level visibility.
