Rich, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
CHC Community Heathcare Cooperative was founded by John Pembroke. John was my broker for several years before forming CHC. I have always been self employed and on a group insurance plan. John, also self employed, searched for a plan every year for all his self employed clients. The plan changed every year after John analyzed several options. Then the “affordable care act” or ACA (Obama care) was passed by congress. Prices skyrocketed for folks like us. So John created CHC. There are many health cooperatives throughout the country. In rural farming communities for example. There are many benefits that traditional insurance can’t provide. We offer flexible affordable plans that cover all your needs such as dental and vision as well as no deductibles and there are no networks to navigate. You can go to any doctor of your choice anywhere in the world and you get coverage and discounts on you very first doctor visit.
Typically our plans are about 50% less than traditional insurance. There are many other benefits as well including holistic care.
I have been on this plan for 9 years and all my healthcare needs have been met.
I have been in construction all my life and have some joint and back problems and John suggested I become a advocate and sell the plan so I don’t have to work physically until retirement. It has changed my life dramatically and it can even change yours if you become an advocate!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
So far the path has been relatively easy since I have been on the plan for 9 years I am very familiar with how it works.

I can give anyone a quote my email…..i just need your age, health status (health or preexisting or similar) Income and email address and I can get you a quote. Most preexisting conditions are accepted. Some on an individual basis.
