Robert, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Back in 2008, while I was in school, I started picking up projects to help cover expenses. What began as side work quickly turned into something I wanted to grow. By 2012 it was official, RW Professional Painting had been created. In many ways, that step felt inevitable—I grew up in a family full of entrepreneurs, so the idea of building something from the ground up was a natural fit. Today, what started as a small hustle has grown into a company that’s completed more than a thousand projects across the Denver area.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s never a straight line. In the beginning it was tough to balance studies, work, and building a team that shared my vision. Like most small business owners, I had to figure things out through trial and error. But every challenge gave me a chance to sharpen my focus on the values that mattered most. Holding onto honesty, respect, dependability, and humility kept me grounded when things were chaotic.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
RW Professional Painting is based in Littleton, Colorado, and serves the greater Denver metro area. We take on both residential and commercial work, everything from interiors and exteriors to decks, fences, cabinets, and stucco. What I’ve built is a licensed, insured, BBB A+ accredited company that people know they can count on. That A+ rating is rare in this industry, and it means a lot to me because it reflects how seriously we take our work and our customers’ trust.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
We’re known for a few things: high quality painting, strong guarantees, and a clear promise to our clients that there won’t be surprises when the final bill comes. The No Surprise Guarantee and the Lifetime Limited Warranty came from hearing new customers share how they’d been burned by contractors who cut corners. I wanted to build something different. Free estimates and free color consultations are part of that too, because people shouldn’t have to gamble to know if a project is a good fit. More than that, what really sets us apart is the team.
