Hidden Gems: Meet Steven Domenico of Peak View Garage Door

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Domenico.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My wife and I are Colorado natives and met our Junior year of high school, got married and have 3 amazing little boys. Back in our early 20s, I began learning about garage doors working for my father in law. A few years later my in laws announced they were moving out of state and selling their company- and at the time I had made other arrangements in a different line of work. Eventually I came to the point of wanting to be able to support my family financially but at the same time not have to sacrifice all my time to do so. I was confident in my ability to work on garage doors independently and decided to make my own company, Peak View Garage Doors. It has been quite the journey of learning how to run a business and I have grown so much, not only in my skills but also as a father, husband and friend. We have leaned heavy on the Lord in times of struggle and discouragement, and we know that if we keep our faith we can overcome any challenge. As the days pass we have high hopes that our business will continue to grow and that we will be a positive contributors to our community.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course it hasn’t been a smooth road. One challenge we have faced, occasionally things can slow down, whether its due to holidays, weather or whatever the case. That can cause a lot of stress when your company is the only income for your family. But we are learning to give our worries to God and he is constantly showing us he will provide. Simpler tasks, like staying organized, community outreach, posting on our social media can also cause stress. But we implement ideas to help stay on top of these challenges.

What are your plans for the future?
In the future, we hope to have a strong presence in our community, with an increasing work load. We hope to be the name that first comes to mind when you’re in need for a garage door. Gaining a few hardworking and honest employees who can run a service truck is also something we hope to achieve in the next year or two, this would allow us to take on more projects and at the same time provide our top tier service to twice a many people a day!
