Hidden Gems: Meet Steven Schultheis of Steve’s Goods

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steven Schultheis. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Steve’s Good started in 2016 when the owner Steve created a website allowing his customers to buy CBD products in all 50 states. He started with CBD oil and CBD relief balms, eventually moving to Colorado in 2018; he decided to register a new company and officially register the DBA as Steve’s Goods.

In Colorado, he started hiring employees to grow the business—eventually moving into a 6k-square-foot facility by the end of 2018.

Steve’s Goods has evolved a lot since 2016. We now manufacture over 100 SKUs of CBD products, including psychoactive cannabinoids like Delta-9 and HHC.

The main product we focus on right now that we want to highlight is our gummies. We currently make 7 different SKUs of gummies, Full Spectrum CBD, CBD isolate, Delta-8, Delta-9, HHC, CBN, and CBG. While also launching limited edition flavors like sour green apple.

We just won Roosters Magazine Food Fight #1 for CBD edibles. Where we faced off against other companies only using edibles.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being treated like a criminal has been a massive challenge for us. We still, to this day, even though hemp is Federally legal, have problems getting things that a typical business would easily qualify for.

Credit card processing was a massive issue for many years and banking.

Loans are entirely out of the question.

After almost four years in business, I got approved for a credit card for my business. It is a miserable $3k limit, which doesn’t do much for a business.

Any advertisement is not available like Google ads or is a joke, and you must spend an arm and a leg. The companies advertising on Instagram are spending $25k/month on ad pay.

Steve’s Goods is an award-winning CBD hemp company. Yes, everyone has a hemp company these days, but how many of them win awards every year? We do!

Our CBD wax, HHC vape cartridge, and Full Spectrum gummies have all won awards this year!

We make unique products and formulations based on what is popular. For example, our #1 seller in 2022 is the 2000mg CBD hemp oil. Our #1 selling and the award-winning flavor is strawnana. So we decided to make a 2000mg strawnana that will be launched by the end of the year.

We’re most excited about expanding our gummy production with the help of our loyal customers and finding new customers. Each pack of gummies we sell gets us closer to launching new flavors and coatings. In 2023, we want to launch 20 new gummy SKUs to give people more variety. These would be sour gummies, non-sugar coated, and 100% natural gummies with no flavoring or coloring (they taste like honey!).

We support locals with our ingredients, and we never source our ingredients or products from other countries.
