Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Cross
Hi Tyler, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My career has been quite the roller coaster. Having started my career in education, I worked my way through the entire field from teacher, to counselor, to assistant principal. My goal was to make an impact in my community and the higher up I got, the harder that became. Once I realized education was not the right path for me. I pivoted to a career in content creation and started making content for Instagram, Youtube, and Tiktok. I garnered around 100k followers on a platform about houseplants and gardening. While doing that, I go the opportunity to design the education product for a health tech startup that’s mission was to upskill clinicians to create more equity in the health care space for marginalized populations. I really loved that work and will continue to help build that product as a passion project. However I was inspired by the startup culture and my families entrepreneurial spirit to work on building something for myself. I have always been fascinated by the world of real estate as a means to build wealth. I bought my first house in college when I was 19 and that set me up financially in ways that I would not have been able to comprehend when I was making that purchase. I want to be able to help people and companies do that same- find their little slice of happiness and watch it work for them. Real estate is one of my favorite ways to invest and I am so excited to be able to share my knowledge with buyers and sellers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My journey has been anything but smooth. I am in my mid 30s, but have been in school most of my life. I was the first generation in my immediate family to go to college and that came with struggles around navigating the higher education system. In addition, moving positions in education is anything but easy. Most shifts require a degree specialized to that role. I spent a lot of time and a lot of money earning degrees that would allow me to pursue what I thought was the best option for me. I am grateful to hold a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees, but I am not so happy about the amount of student loan debt I had to collect while earning them.
We’ve been impressed with Tyler Cross, Real Estate, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I believe buying or selling a home is more than just a transaction—it’s a life-changing experience. That’s why I do things differently. I don’t just open doors for my clients; I open conversations, build relationships, and guide them through every step with honesty, expertise, and a little bit of fun and personality along the way. I love working with buyers at many stages. Whether they are a first-time buyer, upgrading to their dream home, or selling a place full of memories, My job is to help make the process smooth, stress-free, and maybe even exciting. I am not one for pushy sales talk with my clients and I do not take cookie-cutter approach when working with them either.
At the end of the day, it’s not about the house—it’s about finding the place they’ll be proud to call home and a friend that can help them meet all of their real estate goals.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and spent a few years of my childhood in Southern California. For that reason, I have to say my favorite childhood memory is the first time I got to see snow. Growing up in Phoenix, it was not uncommon to take little trips to the mountains to see snow in the winter. The first trip I remember taking to go see the snow was when I was five. I loved everything about that trip. From the stop at the thrift store to get snow gear, to the first time I grabbed it without gloves and my fingers turned red. I knew that point that I wanted to live somewhere that had snow- hence my move in early adulthood to the lovely state of Colorado.
