Today we’d like to introduce you to Anahita Thukral.
Hi Anahita, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began with a deep passion for gender equality and empowerment. I felt compelled to address the underrepresentation of women’s stories in our world. This drive led me to create Hear Her Stories, a platform dedicated to celebrating women’s achievements and voices.
As someone who understands the significance of diverse backgrounds and the barriers women face, I decided to take action. This journey evolved into the Diverse Women (DiWo) initiative, where we provide tailored resources to help women succeed in their chosen fields.
Every step of this journey has been rooted in my unwavering belief in the power of stories, the strength of community, and the need to support every woman’s unique path.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Just like any endeavor, there were obstacles to overcome. One of the significant struggles was in bringing Hear Her Stories to life, particularly in the initial stages. Building a platform to amplify women’s voices required dedication, time, and resources. There were moments of uncertainty and moments when progress seemed slow.
Additionally, the mission to empower women and promote diversity faced some resistance from traditional mindsets. Confronting the deeply rooted biases and prejudices against gender equality was a complex and ongoing battle.
Nevertheless, these challenges fueled our determination. We embraced each hurdle as an opportunity to learn and grow. The support of a dedicated community and the belief in the importance of our mission kept us moving forward, even when the road was less than smooth. The struggles along the way have only strengthened our resolve to make a positive impact on gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
