Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Corsi.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my personal fitness journey about ten years ago when I was a college student. I had never taken health or exercise seriously, but one morning, I woke up and felt very discontent with how I felt- and with the person I saw in the mirror. From that point on, I considered myself a “hobbyist athlete,” participating in a variety of distance runs, circuit training classes, and strength training programs. I absolutely loved it, and had never felt physically better in my life. This continued until about two years ago when I went through a very challenging season of life, and personal fitness became a burden to maintain on a regular basis. As I was navigating struggles with both physical and mental health, I discovered a podcast that was hosted by a group of personal trainers. For the first time, they exposed me to science-based education around health, wellness, and fitness, and they communicated the holistic benefit that fitness offers to an individual’s life. I decided to start taking my training more seriously, seeking to understand the complex anatomical and neurological components that were happening behind the exercise I was participating in. Not only did I enjoy learning all of these things, but I also discovered the true transformation happening to me through proper training: I was being transformed physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.
It was through these two years of education about and experience of fitness that I unlocked an unshakable desire to become a personal trainer. I thought to myself. “this has changed my entire life for the better- and I want to help other people accomplish the same thing.” Every waking minute of free time outside of my day job was filled with learning the skills and techniques of a personal trainer, and trying out new exercises or training programs in the gym. I began my personal trainer certification process through NASM, and I ultimately decided I wanted to take the leap and launch my own personal training business.
Thus, TrueForge Fitness was born. My desire through TrueForge is to offer customized personal training to my clients who are in pursuit of a better life: physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. I wholeheartedly believe that we are forged through the trials of our lives, and we possess agency in determining the kind of transformation that we engage through those seasons. Personal training is a self-chosen trial in and of itself, and our fitness journeys are what help us discover the agency of transformation that can bleed into every component of our lives. It is truly an honor for me to walk alongside clients to help them unlock their potential- both in, and out, of the gym.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Launching a business is never an easy process. Even as I have seen my dream become a reality right before my eyes, it has been humbling to navigate the various challenges in the infancy stage of TrueForge. I do not hold an extensive background in marketing, so I have had to learn a lot about effective strategies and lean upon the wisdom of others to successfully market a new company. The fitness space in Denver is also a bit of an oversaturated market, so the process of building a base of clients has been more challenging than initially anticipated. I have had to adjust my expectations and be willing to start small as I build trust with current clients, in the hopes that their testimonies will generate more potential leads in the future.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
TrueForge Fitness is an online-based personal training company for individuals in pursuit of holistic transformation through their fitness journeys. The name, “TrueForge,” was born through the belief that we are forged through the trials of our life, and that fitness is ultimately something that helps to “forge” us holistically. I also believe that, as humans, we are uniquely created by a Creator who desires for us to flourish, which is why I tell all of my clients that they are “Forged for More.” All of my branding is designed around the concept of “being forged.”
I work with clients of all skill levels, from first-time gym-goers to lifelong trainers. Every program is uniquely designed for the individual client based on their specific needs, goals, and lifestyle. When a client signs up for training, they are committing to a 12-week training program, which includes customized workouts that are delivered weekly through a personal training app, a virtual training calendar, text/phone call support, and a weekly video coaching call to discuss victories, challenges, exercise form, and questions. Depending on the training package that is purchased, I also offer nutrition guidance, recipe suggestions, and free workout gear for the client to implement into their training.
I specialize in working with clients who are navigating very busy schedules between work. family, and additional commitments, as well as those who are wrestling with mental roadblocks around fitness and nutrition. My clients have vocalized satisfaction in their ability to simultaneously build muscle and lose weight through my specific training programs.
I am currently offering a pre-holiday discount on my top-tier training program, “TrueForge Elite.” Why wait until the New Year to start a new fitness program?! This 50% discount can be redeemed anytime during the month of November, and all of the information can be found on the website.
