Inspiring Conversations with Brennah Rosenthal of Great Escape Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brennah Rosenthal.

Hi Brennah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Funny enough, I got my start at summer camp growing up. They had a photography darkroom at the camp and I completely fell in love with the art of photography. My passion there led me to pursue a degree at the Rochester Institute of Technology in Advertising Photography.

Making it a priority to combine my passions, I made sure to move out to Colorado right after college to work in the outdoor industry as a creative. I started at Backpacker & Climbing Magazine as a Junior Art Director which led me to my job as a content director for the outdoor apparel brand, Mountain Standard. During this time I was working on the side in production which felt like the exact right place for me. It combined my love for creativity and cameras with the logistical side of pulling it all off.

A little over 5 years ago, I started my company, Great Escape Media, focusing on creative production for brands such as The North Face, Altra Running, RIVIAN, New Belgium Brewing, and more!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s mostly been a smooth road that I don’t have a ton of complaints about.

I’d say one of my hardest struggles was when I started to say yes to way too many projects and faced a few phases of burnout. I’ve learned to get a bit more selective with the people and projects I say yes to AND to ask for help!

Any big plans?
I am looking forward to connecting with new brands to help introduce them to a team of creatives that work for them and their production needs. I am also excited to continue working with brands and agencies to help them streamline their production practices from pre-production through shooting.
