Inspiring Conversations with Christine Frey of Centerpoint Healing Services

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Frey.

Hi Christine, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a Shaman, Reiki Master and practitioner, and trauma-informed yoga instructor. Over my 33 years of exercise, yoga and body movement, I have been able to interlace my Shamanism and Reiki practice to connect with my clients and provide a safe space for growth and energy. I am a survivor of 49 years of domestic violence, and child sexual assault, rape and I have used my life story and healing to help others. I am a best-selling author, survivor advocate and I am extremely passionate about helping others find their voice, letting them know they are not alone and that I genuinely care about them.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
My life journey has not been smooth and it took 49 years for me to finally be free from the abuse and trauma I survived. My parents died in a house fire on my birthday eight years ago, my husband, and abuser, died five years ago from alcoholism as I held his hand and there is so much more to share. I have learned so much with my training and advocacy work. I am a Shaman, psychic, medium and I use these skills to help others heal physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I walk my walk with truth, courage, integrity and grit.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
My private studio is a safe space for all humans. I have created a safe welcoming space for survivors to be exactly who they are, to be heard, valued and not judged. I believe in empowerment so people can begin healing themselves. I am a healer with Shamanic training and I use these skills with my Reiki to help people heal on their timeline, with their desire to create change in their lives and to know they are not responsible for their trauma; however, they are responsible for their healing. No judgment ever from me.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love Colorado Springs because of the open space to be outside, seeing the beauty, grounding with Mother Earth and her mountains and lakes, and the fresh air. This city does not have ample mental health resources, addiction and recovery resources, and transportation between the different parts of the city so people can travel easily.
