Inspiring Conversations with Damian Schlereth of G-FORCE Parking Lot Striping of Denver.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Damian Schlereth

Hi Damian, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I kicked off my professional journey in the USMC as a corrections officer from 2002-2006. After four years of keeping things in line (literally and figuratively), I was honorably discharged as a Corporal. I decided to switch gears and dive into the world of hospitality, earning a degree in Hospitality Management from Northern Arizona University. This chapter polished my skills in customer service and event management.

Feeling a bit adventurous, I spent a year volunteering in Zambia with Development in Gardening, getting my hands dirty with sustainable gardening projects. This was an eye-opening experience that taught me a lot about resilience and community.

Back stateside, I got a taste for the craft beer scene by selling beer for Funkwerks in Fort Collins. It was a fun gig that let me blend customer interaction with my love for craft brews—an ideal setup before I leaped into software sales at Snap! Raise.

From there, I landed in the cybersecurity world, where I climbed the ranks to become Director of Business Development at runZero. I led sales teams and fine-tuned strategic initiatives, all while dealing with the occasional curveball—like the SVB Bank failure, which shook up the industry and led to layoffs. That was a tough break, but it also gave me a chance to do some soul-searching.

In my quest for a new direction, I discovered Veteran Service Brands, an organization led exclusively by veterans, which led me to G-FORCE™, a veteran-owned franchise that perfectly matched my military background with my entrepreneurial spirit. Joining this organization, founded by Jack Child, an Air Force vet and Delta pilot, was particularly inspiring as his leadership and vision resonated deeply with my values. Now, as part of G-FORCE™ network, I have the opportunity to work alongside fellow veterans, bringing our shared experiences to every project. This role not only allows me to serve our community but also keeps my adventurous spirit alive, making our work in parking lot striping and marking a continuation of our commitment to excellence and service.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
At G-FORCE™ of Denver, the road has definitely had its bumps, but we’ve faced them head-on. We’ve made mistakes along the way, but we believe in owning up to them and correcting them to the best of our ability and to meet our customers’ expectations. A great example of this was a recent project where we had to revisit a customer’s lot three times to get it just right. It was a challenging situation, but we were committed to ensuring the job met our high standards. The customer appreciated our persistence and the final result so much that he rewarded us with a 5-star Google review. It’s moments like these that reinforce our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, reminding us that the extra effort is always worth it.
