Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacqueline Del Soldato
Hi Jacqueline, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I was born in the Bay Area, California, but most of my life has been spent in northern Nevada. After graduating from the University of Nevada, Reno, I unexpectedly found myself in a job in real estate. Initially, I worked as an office manager, assisting with transactions from escrow to closing. It didn’t take long for me to realize how much I enjoyed the marketing side of things. From the beginning, I was involved in the branding, exposure, and unique marketing strategies of the business, and I quickly grasped how essential marketing is for success.
As I gained more experience, my love for marketing grew. I moved on to roles as a marketing director for nonprofits, including in the arts and Habitat for Humanity, as well as for businesses in the real estate, development, and construction industries. I handled marketing for a variety of sectors, from short sales and foreclosures during the market downturn to multimillion-dollar homes and commercial properties.
In 2020, when I was temporarily laid off, I decided to make the most of the extra time I had at home with my twin girls, who were only two at the time. I started an Instagram account and launched my business, “JD Marketing NV.” My goal was simple: to land just one client. It turned out that many of the businesses I had worked with in the past reached out to hire me for marketing projects, and from there, things snowballed. With over a decade of experience in the industry, I decided to further my education by pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in marketing to gain a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of the field.
Fast forward to 2024: my husband was offered a promotion in Denver, and we knew it was the right move for our family. We didn’t hesitate to pack up and start this new chapter. I’ve rebranded my business to “JD Marketing Studio” to reflect our expanded reach, allowing us to work with clients across the country. We’re already loving the Denver area, and I’m eager to connect with local businesses, especially real estate agents, teams, and brokerages. My marketing experience spans a wide range of industries, but my passion lies in helping real estate professionals stand out and grow their businesses. I’m excited to connect with new clients here in Colorado, working closely with them to maintain and organize their marketing in a way that truly supports their unique goals and helps their businesses grow.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey of growing my business has been slow but steady. In northern Nevada, I was fortunate to have built strong connections within the industry. It’s a tight-knit community where word-of-mouth played a huge role; many people either knew me personally or had heard of me through mutual connections. That network was invaluable in helping my business gain traction.
Moving to Denver has been an adjustment, both personally and professionally. Building relationships here, whether in business or friendships, has been slower. Making friends as an adult isn’t always easy, and the same goes for networking in a brand-new market. Since I work from home, I’m not out in the field as much as I used to be, which makes those in-person connections even more important. But I’m committed to growing here, both as a business owner and as part of the community, and I’m looking forward to meeting more people and business owners along the way.
Another challenge has been finding the right balance when it comes to pricing. Early on, I struggled with charging enough to fairly compensate myself, cover business expenses, and pay my team, while still ensuring my services were accessible to clients. Finding that happy medium has been a learning process, but I’ve worked hard to refine my pricing in a way that is both sustainable and fair.
Of course, like many entrepreneurs, balancing work and family life is an ongoing challenge. Working from home allows me to be present for my family, but it also means the lines between work and personal life can blur. Over time, I’ve had to be intentional about setting boundaries to ensure I’m giving both my business and my family the attention they deserve.
Despite the challenges, I’m excited for what’s ahead. I want to build strong relationships here in Denver, both in business and in life, and I’m looking forward to the opportunities that come with this new chapter.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At JD Marketing Studio, our mission is simple: to help businesses maintain a consistent and organized marketing strategy. Unlike traditional agencies that focus on one-off projects, we specialize in ongoing monthly marketing, ensuring our clients have a strong and steady presence rather than sporadic bursts of activity. This approach not only builds brand recognition but also fosters long-term success.
One of the things that truly sets JD Marketing Studio apart is the personal connection we build with our clients. We intentionally keep our client list small, allowing us to provide a highly personalized experience. When you work with us, you’re not just another account in a big marketing firm, you’re a valued partner. I work closely with every client, often staying in touch through text conversations or shared notes on our phones, making collaboration seamless and personal. Our small but dedicated team ensures that each business receives tailored marketing strategies that align with their specific goals, creating a hands-on partnership that goes beyond just business.
With over a decade of experience in digital marketing, particularly in real estate, housing developments, and property management, we understand the unique needs of these industries. We use cutting-edge strategies and creative marketing materials to build a cohesive brand presence at a cost-effective rate. Whether it’s social media management, branding, or marketing consulting, we provide the tools businesses need to stand out in competitive markets like Denver.
What I’m most proud of is reaching five years in business. That milestone represents not just growth, but also the trust and partnerships I’ve built along the way. While I’ve found a strong niche in the building and real estate industry, I’ve also worked with businesses in a variety of fields. I love getting to know my clients, understanding their goals, and finding creative ways to make their marketing work for them. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m excited to keep building relationships and helping businesses succeed.
At the end of the day, it’s all about building lasting relationships and helping businesses tell their stories in a way that truly connects. I’m excited to see where the next five years take me and the businesses I work with.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was somewhat shy in elementary school but focused on maintaining good grades. Outside of school, my main extracurricular was dance, I loved the creativity, positive energy it gave, and the social aspect of being with good friends. I’ve also always had a strong interest in art, and anytime I could choose an art class as an elective, I did. That passion eventually led me to earn my first bachelor’s degree in art history, which has influenced my creativity both personally and professionally.
One of the things I value most is the friendships I’ve built over the years. I still have friends I’ve known since elementary school and high school, and those relationships remain important to me. There’s something special about having people in your life who’ve known you through so many phases and experiences.
My family loved to travel, and every summer, we’d take a big trip, exploring new states, visiting family across the country, and checking out whatever made each city unique. Growing up near Lake Tahoe, we spent summers at the beach, and in the winter, we’d go skiing a few times a year. My parents kept us active, and those experiences gave me an appreciation for adventure and new experiences that has stuck with me ever since.
