Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Eden.
Jessica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been deeply empathetic and intuitive—sensing the emotions of others, and feeling most at ease amongst the elements of nature and animals. But instead of feeling empowered by that, I often felt out of place, second-guessing myself and wondering why I didn’t fit the mold. My interests and sensitivities didn’t match those around me, and I carried this inner belief that I was somehow different, broken. Still, I felt a strong pull to help others, and becoming a social worker felt like a natural calling. I spent years supporting children, youth, and families in crisis—showing up for them, as I silently masked my own anxiety, depression, and emotional exhaustion behind the scenes.
Eventually, the cracks started to show. I hit burnout—not just once, but twice—before I was even 40. My job was no longer fulfilling, my marriage was strained, my health was suffering, and then, in 2019, I lost my soul dog. That loss cracked me open, leading me (an atheist at the time) on a search for deeper meaning and purpose. It was like a spark in the darkness that set me on a path of spiritual awakening and deep personal healing.
Along the way, a holistic focus that embraced the mind, body and spirit helped reconnect me with my intuition and heal from within. I also came to understand and embrace my identity as an AuDHD (Autistic + ADHD) person. What I once feared—that I was “different”—turned out to be my superpower. I wasn’t broken. I was just wired differently. And instead of hiding that, I decided to integrate it into my work and how I serve others.
That’s what led me to start Intuitive Life Wellness—my private therapy practice rooted in holistic healing, spiritual integration, and neurodivergent empowerment. Shortly after I was called to organize Colorado Sisters in Psychedelics, a grassroots women’s collective where we gather to support one another in healing through sisterhood, personal empowerment, and psychedelics. Everything I do now is built on what I’ve lived through and what I’ve learned along the way.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh, absolutely not. And honestly, I wouldn’t trust a smooth road anyway—it wouldn’t have taught me what I needed to know.
I had to reach breaking points—plural—to really find myself. Burnout. Panic attacks. Losing a beloved pet that felt like my emotional anchor. Feeling lost in my own marriage, my career, my health. There was a point where I was functioning on autopilot, helping others professionally while ignoring my own unraveling. It’s a strange kind of dissonance that many helpers and healers know all too well.
But through all of it, I had to confront parts of myself that I’d spent decades trying to hide or suppress. I had to be willing to completely fall apart—to become caterpillar goo, as I like to say—before I could even begin to rebuild. It wasn’t pretty or linear. But it was mine. And now, that very process is what allows me to meet others in the raw, messy parts of their own journeys.
I’m not a “blank slate” therapist. I’ve been through shit, and that’s exactly why I can hold space for people who are going through it, too.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Intuitive Life Wellness isn’t your typical therapy or coaching practice—it’s a space where healing is holistic, personalized, and deeply soul-connected. I specialize in supporting women—particularly those who are late-diagnosed or self-discovering as neurodivergent (Autistic, ADHD, or both)—who are feeling disconnected, burned out, or like they don’t quite belong in the world as it is.
My approach blends the clinical with the intuitive. We return to nature. We explore spirituality (in whatever way that resonates with you). We integrate psychedelics and plant medicines with IFS/parts work, acudetox and energy healing to work with the nervous system, the body, and the mind as one. It’s about reclaiming your power, not fixing something that was never broken.
What sets my work apart is the lived experience I bring into the room. I’ve walked through darkness. I’ve felt the isolation of not fitting into neurotypical spaces or mental health systems that don’t see the whole person. That’s why my clients often say they feel seen—maybe for the first time. Because I don’t just hold space for your healing—I honor it, without judgment.
I also recently brought to life Colorado Sisters in Psychedelics, a grassroots collective of women supporting each other through plant medicine, integration circles, and community care. It’s a beautiful, growing sisterhood where we’re reimagining what healing can look like—together.
What I’m most proud of, brand-wise? It’s that people don’t just come to me for services. They come for transformation. They come because they feel a resonance. A sense of “finally, someone gets it.” And that’s everything.
So if you’ve ever felt like you weren’t made for this world—know that you were. Maybe you were just made to help change it. And I’m here to walk beside you while you do.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I believe we’re standing at the edge of a massive shift in the mental health and wellness space—one that’s long overdue. For too long, we’ve been taught that healing is an individual pursuit. That our struggles are something to hide, to fix, or to carry alone. We’ve been disconnected—not just from ourselves, but from each other, from nature, and from the spiritual essence of who we are.
Traditional therapy has often focused on the mind and emotions in isolation, leaving the body and spirit out of the conversation. But real healing is holistic. It lives in the nervous system, in the gut, in our relationships, and in our connection to something greater than ourselves. My work is about helping people remember that wholeness—by integrating the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual.
Looking ahead, I see a return to more community-rooted healing. We’re moving toward sacred spaces—circles, ceremonies, nature-based practices—where healing happens collectively, not just in one-on-one rooms behind closed doors. Psychedelic integration, somatic work, spiritual exploration, and deep connection with the Earth are becoming more central in how we support mental health (and overall wellness). And I truly believe that’s where our power lies—not in separating ourselves, but in remembering that we belong to each other.
The future of mental health isn’t just in new techniques—it’s in ancient wisdom reawakened. It’s in safe, sacred spaces where we can be fully seen, fully felt, and fully human.
