Inspiring Conversations with Katie Miner of Katie Miner Style

Today we’d like to introduce you to Katie Miner.

Hi Katie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve always been drawn to creativity, self-expression, and performance—but it wasn’t until middle school that I discovered the power of personal style. Like many teenagers, I tried on countless identities through clothing: goth, surfer girl, and everything in between. What stayed constant was my love for how getting dressed made me feel—confident, expressive, and uniquely me.

That passion led me to fashion school with the dream of becoming a stylist. While fashion design never called to me, the art of styling did—curating pieces from different brands and blending them in unexpected, personal ways. That’s where the magic lives for me: in the transformation.

After school, I worked at Anthropologie during its peak (yes, the golden era!), spent time with a fashion manufacturer in San Francisco, and eventually stepped back to focus on motherhood—an experience I cherish.

But becoming a mother also opened my eyes. I saw how many women—especially moms—struggle with identity loss. Their style no longer reflects who they are. Shopping feels overwhelming. Getting dressed becomes a task, not a joy. And that realization led me to personal styling.

Today, I help women reclaim their style, confidence, and presence—starting with their wardrobe. Because style isn’t superficial, it’s deeply personal. And when you feel aligned with how you show up in the world, everything shifts.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As any human—especially any entrepreneur—can tell you, the road is never smooth. It’s full of twists, turns, and unexpected bumps, but I believe that’s what makes the journey meaningful. The magic is in learning to embrace the ride.

One of the biggest challenges has been giving myself permission to evolve. I went to fashion school with a dream of becoming a stylist, but life took me in other directions for a while. I worked in retail, manufacturing, then stepped away completely to be a stay-at-home mom. That pause was beautiful, but also disorienting. I lost touch with parts of myself, and I know a lot of women can relate to that.

Coming back to styling was both exciting and intimidating. I had to rebuild my confidence, redefine my voice, and create a business from scratch while juggling motherhood. There were plenty of moments where I questioned everything. But every challenge has helped me clarify my mission: to help women reclaim their style, their confidence, and their sense of self through what they wear.

As you know, we’re big fans of Katie Miner Style. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Katie Miner Style is a personal styling service designed for women—especially moms—who are ready to reconnect with themselves through style. I help my clients move from overwhelm to empowerment, creating wardrobes that feel bold, intentional, and uniquely theirs.

I specialize in working with women who are tired of feeling stuck. They’ve built incredible careers and lives, but their wardrobes don’t reflect their confidence, creativity, or who they’ve become. Whether through one-on-one styling, curated closet edits, or high-touch seasonal support, I help them define a personal style that aligns with their energy, ambition, and presence.

What sets me apart is my holistic, deeply personalized approach. I’m not here to just tell you what to wear—I’m here to help you reclaim how you show up. My background in fashion, retail, and motherhood gives me a unique lens to support women in both the emotional and practical aspects of getting dressed. It’s about style, yes—but also identity, confidence, and ease.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the way Katie Miner Style helps women see themselves. My clients often tell me they feel more like themselves than they have in years. That’s everything to me.

If there’s one thing I’d want your readers to know, it’s this: your style should support the life you’re living now. You don’t need to wait until you’ve lost weight, hit a milestone, or found more time. You’re worthy of feeling confident and powerful today—and I’d be honored to be your partner in making that happen.

How do you define success?
To me, success is when I’ve helped a client see herself in a new light—when she stands a little taller, feels more confident, and remembers just how powerful and badass she truly is.

It’s not just about clothes. It’s about giving women permission to show up for themselves fully—without downplaying who they are or what they’ve accomplished. It’s helping them reconnect with their identity, invest in themselves unapologetically, and get genuinely excited to get dressed again.

When you look in the mirror and feel like the badass you are—that’s success.
