Inspiring Conversations with Kostiantyn Hryshko of Ok auto llc

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kostiantyn Hryshko.

Hi Kostiantyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Kostiantyn Hryshko, and I am the founder and COO of OK Auto LLC. I began my career more than twenty-five years ago in Ukraine, working hands-on in automotive and marine repair with a focus on complex structural and mechanical problems. From the start, my work went beyond routine repairs – I concentrated on understanding underlying structural damage and restoring original vehicle integrity rather than relying on standard part replacement.

Over time, this approach evolved into the Advanced Structural & Panel Restoration Methodology (ASPRM), which treats vehicle restoration as an engineering reconstruction process. I later founded and grew a successful automotive repair business in Ukraine, leading teams of technicians and completing high-complexity projects for private clients and government institutions, earning national professional recognition.

In 2022, I relocated to the United States, where I continued applying and refining my methodology in advanced collision repair roles. In 2024, I founded OK Auto LLC in Denver, Colorado. Today, I lead complex full-cycle restoration projects, applying ASPRM to challenging cases while continuing to build, mentor, and advance professional standards in the field.

In the U.S., our business operates primarily as a full-service mechanical repair shop while maintaining strong expertise in advanced structural collision repair, precision bodywork, and full-cycle automotive restoration.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. Much of my career has been built through challenge rather than convenience. Early on, the main struggle was working against conventional industry practices that favored speed and part replacement over precision and structural integrity. Developing and defending a more complex, engineering-based approach required time, persistence, and a willingness to take responsibility for outcomes others avoided.

Relocating to the United States in 2022 presented a new set of challenges. I had to rebuild my professional life from the ground up—adapting to new regulations, standards, business systems, and a different market culture, all while proving my expertise from scratch. Language barriers, regulatory complexity, and limited initial resources made the process demanding.

Starting OK Auto LLC was another major test – a high-risk decision that became a defining turning point in my U.S. journey, reconnecting me with my passion for building a strong team and a business that delivers meaningful value to the community. Building the company from the ground up – assembling a team, earning trust, and handling complex cases simultaneously – required long hours and constant problem-solving. These challenges reinforced my commitment to quality and innovation, strengthening my methodology and leadership, and affirming my belief that meaningful progress comes from solving difficult problems rather than avoiding them.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We provide a full spectrum of automotive services, combining high-demand mechanical repair with advanced structural collision repair, precision bodywork, and full-cycle vehicle restoration.

In the U.S. market, where the need for reliable mechanical service is especially strong, OK Auto LLC operates primarily as a full-service mechanical repair shop. At the same time, we maintain deep expertise in complex structural and collision restoration – allowing us to handle cases that require more than routine diagnostics or part replacement.

What truly sets us apart is our engineering-driven approach. We do not view collision repair as cosmetic work; we treat it as structural restoration. Our work is guided by ASPRM – Advanced Structural & Panel Restoration Methodology, which approaches vehicle repair as an engineering reconstruction process. This methodology emphasizes diagnostics, geometry correction, controlled metal restoration, and unified technical oversight to preserve factory integrity, safety, and long-term reliability.

We are known for taking on high-difficulty mechanical and structural projects that many shops prefer to avoid. By managing mechanical, structural, and restoration work under one technical vision, we eliminate fragmented responsibility and ensure consistency from initial diagnostics to final delivery.

What I am most proud of brand-wise is the trust we’ve earned. Our growth has come primarily through referrals and long-term relationships rather than advertising. For our clients, the OK Auto brand represents accountability, craftsmanship, and confidence that their vehicle is returned not just repaired, but restored to a safe, reliable, and properly engineered condition.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The most important quality behind my success is accountability.

In automotive repair and restoration, especially when dealing with structural and safety-critical work, there is no room for assumptions or shortcuts. Every decision has a direct impact on the safety, performance, and longevity of the vehicle. I’ve built my approach around taking full responsibility for both the technical outcome and the customer experience.

Accountability means I don’t separate “my part” from the final result. I stay involved from diagnostics through final inspection, ensuring that every step meets a consistent standard of precision. It also means being honest when something requires more time, more analysis, or a different approach than originally expected.

Over time, this mindset has shaped how the business operates as well—creating a culture where quality is not negotiable, details are not overlooked, and commitments are followed through. That consistency is what has built trust with clients, partners, and our team.
