Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystal Pursifull.
Hi Krystal, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started The Laundry Lady LLC during one of the hardest seasons of my life. At the time, I was barely scraping by. I had an eviction notice on my door almost every month and knew the process better than the average person should. I had a work from home job and I was doing laundry on the side for another company, and Door dashing when I could but it wasn’t enough.
In October 2023, I made a post in a local Facebook group called The 411 for the 719 asking if anyone else would be interested in the service, and the community stepped up in ways I never ever expected. That support gave me the push I needed to keep going. By January 2024, I was able to quit my job and officially launched The Laundry Lady LLC.
In the beginning, I did every single order myself. Late nights, long days, and countless loads of laundry filled my weeks. Five months later, I was able to hire an amazing team to help carry the workload. Together, we’ve grown from just a handful of regulars to serving clients daily, earning over 70 five-star Google reviews, and building a trusted name in Colorado Springs. That growth has allowed me to launch Lake Norman Laundry Co. in North Carolina and begin expanding The Laundry Lady within Colorado, starting with Castle Rock and gradually working our way north.
I haven’t “made it” yet, but the challenges I face today are the kind I used to pray for. Through it all, my mission has never changed: to lift the weight of laundry off people’s shoulders so they can focus on the people and priorities that mean the most. From parents juggling kids, to professionals balancing busy schedules, to small business owners needing an extra hand, The Laundry Lady is here to make life easier.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. When I started, I was working from home, juggling DoorDash and a laundry service job on the side, and still facing eviction notices almost every month. There was no big plan and no safety net. I didn’t have money for marketing, so I had to get creative—leaning heavily on Facebook groups, word of mouth, and long hours of hands-on work to land my first clients.
As the business began to grow, I was suddenly navigating challenges I had never faced before: building systems from scratch, keeping up with a rapidly increasing workload, and hiring and training independent contractors without having any prior management experience. I couldn’t afford a marketing team, a bookkeeper, or an SEO expert, so I traded services where I could and handled everything else myself. Running every part of the business while still doing most of the physical work was overwhelming at times.
Another ongoing challenge has been balancing the demands of running two businesses while being a mom to a son with autism who attends four different therapies each week. There are days when it feels like I’m being pulled in a hundred directions, but I always find a way to make it work.
Every obstacle has forced me to grow, adapt, and keep moving forward. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. The struggles shaped me not just into a business owner, but into someone who knows how to persevere, build from nothing, and create something lasting.
As you know, we’re big fans of The Laundry Lady LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
The Laundry Lady LLC is a locally owned pickup-and-delivery laundry service built for people who are stretched thin and need one less thing on their plate. We handle everyday laundry from start to finish — washing, drying, folding, and returning it clean and ready to put away — so our clients can reclaim their time and mental space.
What sets us apart is how personal and intentional our service is. We’re not a faceless app or a volume-driven operation. We focus on reliability, clear communication, and consistency, and we treat every order as if it belonged to our own family. Many of our clients are busy parents, professionals, and small business owners who value trust just as much as convenience.
We’re known for being dependable, transparent, and community-driven. From our pricing structure to our customer service, everything is designed to be straightforward and fair — no hidden fees, no surprises, and no cutting corners. We’ve built our reputation almost entirely through word of mouth and referrals, which is something I’m incredibly proud of.
Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is that I built The Laundry Lady from the ground up. I wasn’t “cut out” to be a business owner — I didn’t have a savings account, a big plan, or a safety net. I didn’t start this because I felt ready. What began as a terrifying leap was really just me betting on myself and hoping I could figure it out along the way. This business has given me purpose, confidence, and a sense of pride I didn’t even know I was missing.
I want readers to know that behind the brand is a real person, a real team, and a deep commitment to doing things the right way. Whether someone uses our service weekly or just during a busy season of life, our goal is always the same — to show up, do excellent work, and make life a little easier for the communities we serve.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
There are a few ways to work with and support The Laundry Lady. Clients can book our pickup and delivery laundry services, including recurring residential and commercial service. We also collaborate with local businesses, property managers, Airbnb hosts, and service providers who want to offer reliable laundry solutions for their clients or guests.
Those who want to support us can follow along on social media, share our content, leave a review, or refer someone who could use a little less on their plate. Every referral, share, and kind word helps more than people realize.
