Today we’d like to introduce you to Leo Yuffa.

Hi Leo, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Dazbog Coffee is the realization of The American Dream by me and my brother Tony. Our dream was to combine Old-World coffee roasting traditions with the richness of the finest quality coffee beans grown on estates from around the world.

With Dazbog Coffee, established in 1996, Tony and I are living out our dream. Our passion is to honor the past and enjoy the present in a rich-tasting cup of coffee. This is the Dazbog way. A way that applauds free expression by bringing out the unique flavor of every bean. A way that celebrates life itself in each and every cup.

We are on a never-ending journey in search of rare coffee delicacies which are the heart and soul of Dazbog coffees. Over the decades, our adventures have taken us into the far reaches of the world where tiny plantations yield rare crops of beans with mesmerizing richness, enchanting aromas, and tastes that are wildly seductive. Our hand-written notes and private stash of unique coffees — that are handled delicately and roasted to perfection — are the envy of coffee aficionados. Like a secret library of great undiscovered books, these highly selective coffees will captivate you.

Dazbog Coffee’s roots began with wholesale, selling coffee to restaurants, bakeries, cafes, hotels and grocery stores as well as direct to consumers. After seeing our brand success in the marketplace, in 2006 Dazbog expanded into opening and operating Dazbog Coffee Cafes, serving the public our delicious coffee beverages, locally sourced baked goods and other food items.

Today, you can find Dazbog Coffee in hundreds of places ranging from universities, restaurants, local cafes, bakeries, hotels, and most Colorado grocery stores. Dazbog Coffee Cafes are spread out in the Denver Metro area, as far north as Cheyenne WY, and you can find us on every concourse at Denver International Airport.

Dazbog is excited to celebrate our 30th Anniversary in 2026.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to Dazbog’s 30th Anniversary has had many twists, turns and pivots. As a business navigating wholesale and retail business comes with unique challenges including labor, real estate costs, operational adjustments and local economic changes. Coffee is a hyper competitive landscape. The Fortune 500 coffee companies have substantially more capital for location acquisition, systems implementation and cost of goods advantages. Dazbog has focused on being nimble and creative to stay competitive and relevant in the coffee market, roasting the best coffee in Colorado.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Dazbog Coffee Company?
We are a wholesale and retail coffee company specializing in sourcing and roasting the freshest and best coffee money can buy. Our coffee palate appeals to those coffee drinkers that love to experience the true character of every coffee bean and the natural sweetness brought to life with the perfect roast. Our roasting style takes the coffee to a Viennese Roast, where the natural sugar is at the peak of caramelization and the true character from source of origin shines through in the taste of the cup. This has been a differentiator for Dazbog as our customers indulge in every sip.

We are very proud of building Dazbog Coffee as a staple in the growing Denver coffee community. We are also proud to support so many of our Dazbog team members that make it all happen at our roasting plant and coffee shops. We are a tightknit group that has worked together to make the best coffee in Colorado every day for almost 30 years.

In October 2025, we are excited to launch our updated website, Dazbog.com, where we will feature the best of Dazbog. The website will launch the new Red Star Society, where coffee lovers can subscribe to our Roaster’s Choice monthly coffee subscription and be introduced to the best of the best coffees of the seasons. We are looking forward to offering a fantastic customer shopping experience and helping coffee connoisseurs find their Dazbog Coffee gems.
