Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah Kline.
Hi Noah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised in Colorado, where I landed my first job at Loveland Laser Tag. I quickly advanced through the ranks and discovered a passion for escape rooms. Seeing my enthusiasm, the owner, Jeff Willy, offered me the incredible opportunity to partner with him. I attended Colorado State University but ultimately chose to fully invest my time into growing Time Emporium and eventually Looking Glass and a few other ventures, leaving college to focus entirely on the business. I’ve taken the “head down, grind, and work nonstop” approach, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the path I chose.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Over the past six years, and opening multiple businesses, I’ve definitely ran into countless challenges and obstacles. From construction hurdles to finding the best team we have today, each stage has it’s own struggles. Every area brings its challenges, but with them comes much joy; whether it’s building the strong team, connecting with customers, creating memorable experiences, or launching new locations. The reality is that you’ll have to work on problems that the company needs you to, but not always the ones you want to work on.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Time Emporium/Looking Glass?
Time Emporium Escape Rooms is a multi location escape room offering some of the most immersive and thematically designed experiences in Colorado. Along with that I have Looking Glass Escape Lounge which is a bar in Fort Collins that specializes in incredibly crafted cocktails and mocktails. Two of our escape rooms have been nominated for the top 50 escape room in the world, and a few others have won awards from recognized escape room reviewers, including Bullseye/EscapeTheRoomers (Best Set Design: Murder in London, Best Horror Theme: Hotel HELLen, Best Innovator: STAKED A Vampire Tale), TERPECA and The Escape Room Guys. I’d say the biggest professional accomplishments were having the Loveland location gain more than 2,700 reviews on Google with a perfect 5.0 rating (along with 5.0 in Fort Collins and 4.9 in Estes Park). We really focus on customer experience from our staff to the immersion the escape rooms bring, as well as having Looking Glass provide cocktails nowhere else can compare. With the launch of our brand new mocktail menu we now provide NA drinks that match the look and feel of a cocktail so any guest can enjoy without feeling left out.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Most definitely my business partner Jeff Willy! I started working for him at Loveland Laser Tag when I was a kid. He is the one that has been there from the beginning and saw that I was dependable and loyal. It didn’t matter if I was doing the boring or hard work; I’d always put my biggest effort into it. I think he also noticed that I treated his company like my own. I was always calling out areas of improvement and pushing the business to be better. Since opening our first business together he has taught me so much of the behind the scenes of a business and now we operate in our own specialties which helps the companies grow through our own strengths in different areas! I also would not be hear today without my incredible staff, our head team Sam Rye, Nathan Hawthorne, Mike Goveia, Abby Larson and Jessie Shepard are always making sure excellence is brought through each action they make! And finally my parents have been the BIGGEST cheerleaders in my life always supporting me and occasionally stopping in for drinks at the lounge 😉
