Today we’d like to introduce you to Robin McIntire
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I was 10, I learned that being hopeless is very scary; although my mother was being treated, she couldn’t pull herself out of her post-partum depression and she took her life.
During high school, I learned about self-loathing and secrecy; I was bulimic and the binging and purging held such power over me. I was desperate for help but too afraid to share my secret.
I believe my passion for helping women find inner strength and peace comes from my personal journey. I want to be known for helping women pay attention to and be brave with their lives.
Although I wasn’t all together, I started championing women 4 decades ago.
It started in 1981. Six weeks into a trial membership at an all-women fitness chain, I was invited and said yes to a job there. In the 3 ½ years I was there, I earned 3 in-house certifications, eventually managed it, and was the aerobics director for our region. Although the corporation couldn’t survive, “Gloria Stevens Figure Salon” was about getting my integrity back, becoming a leader, and starting me in the direction of coaching. Saying yes to a job that I didn’t feel worthy of changed my life.
I raised my 2 boys from 1985 to 2008. During this time, I also started a nail business (Nail Designs by Robin), later became a personal trainer (Training With Passion, LLC), and joined a multi-level marketing company (VEMMA).
Relationships, company training, building a small team, and diving into personal development as a discipline were my takeaways. Another MLM company that didn’t make it but helped me change myself.
While personal training, I started creating an online course. I was determined but frustrated, so I hired my first coach.
My biggest takeaway was that I was working from a stressed, not-good-enough energy. That’s when I learned to reframe what success means and to balance grace with discipline. For the first time in my life, I decided there was nothing wrong with me.
I loved coaching and wanted to be one. I started studying, launched my signature program MBDO (MindBody Do-Overs, an online program with group coaching), and then got certified through IPEC.
I love helping women do their inner work because doing mine has been and continues to be life-changing.
I serve woman looking for support during a life transition, want to tackle unwanted habits, or want to feel inspired again.
I’ve also started a Podcast called Shift Happens; Navigating the Lighter Side of Life’s Challenges.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I appreciate all of my obstacles and challenges and believe I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without them. Many of them I mentioned above.
Here are a few more:
Trying to figure out the online business world has been taxing, expensive, and often frustrating with all of the tech. Along with this has been wrestling self-doubt and enoughness along the way (and not letting my brain win!)
My husband and I have been married for 42 years and are happy to say that we made it through some very difficult times.
I pivoted my personal training business in 2020 (Covid), as my home studio where clients came was no longer an option. Rebranding as a not-yet-certified life coach was a slow go. (It was something that I’d been wanting to do though, so it was a welcomed change.)
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Robin McIntire Coaching?
What I’m most proud of is my perseverance in my business. Creating my online course and putting myself out there with my ideas and what’s worked for me, has been challenging. I believe this is what I’m supposed to be doing because I’m the safe space that I wish I’d have had earlier in my life & struggles, and I’m passionate about people finding inner peace and self-love. I’ve had to use my “WHY” as leverage to get over fear of failure and what others’ might think.

Certified Life and Transitions Coach
I’ve been championing women for 42 years and it never gets old. I love to stand for and encourage my clients to get clear about who they are, own what they want, and know that they’re deserving of whatever that is. I want women to be so brave and self-aware that they get out of auto-pilot and obligation, and into conscious choice (aka freedom). My greatest hope for everyone is to fully embrace our one precious life by living with intention and purpose, engaging mind, body, AND spirit.
I’ve been told I’m a coach for women who think they don’t need a coach. I’ve been called a Change Guide, A champion of Women, and a loud cheerleader. 😉
I offer 1:1 coaching and small group coaching, and also do intimate women’s retreats. I never accept payment from anyone unless we decide together that we’re a good fit- I want to work with people who are a little nervous but are ready to surrender to their much-wanted change!
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Is this Denver?
I was raised there. In fact, as a child, I lived on Robin Way! Lots of memories there, I went to Smoky Hill High School. Both my parents are buried at Olinger Mortuary on Hampden. My oldest son, his wife, and my 2 Grandkids live in Denver.
I’m a Colorado native, I lived in Denver until leaving for Northern Colorado to attend UNC. I’ve resided in Greeley ever since.
I’m saddened to see the changes in Aurora over the years, and that Denver seems to be struggling. I know they have a lot of challenges like any big city.
Greeley: I love our community and the people in it. It has a small town feel but offers so much. I know a lot of entrepreneurial women that help make Greeley special!
