Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Heredia.
Hi Sarah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story begins in severe burnout. After spending more than a decade in sales and events within the hospitality industry, I found myself completely depleted—mentally, emotionally, and physically. What once felt exciting and fulfilling had slowly become unsustainable. I was discouraged, disconnected, and deeply unsure of what was next.
For years, I had built my identity around being reliable, driven, and successful on paper. I put everyone else’s needs before my own and clung tightly to the perceived safety of a salary, a 401(k), and a benefits package. From the outside, I was doing everything “right.” On the inside, I felt lost and disconnected from myself in a way I couldn’t ignore anymore.
That season of burnout became a turning point. When everything familiar fell apart, I was forced to slow down and ask questions I had avoided for years: What do I actually want? What does success mean to me? And who am I when I stop performing for everyone else?
What started as a necessity quickly turned into a self-discovery journey. I began exploring the patterns, beliefs, and expectations that had kept me stuck in cycles of overwork and self-abandonment. I learned how to listen to my inner guidance, set boundaries without guilt, and redefine success in a way that felt aligned instead of exhausting.
Over time, that internal work changed everything. As I rebuilt my relationship with myself, clarity followed—and with it, the confidence to create a career rooted in intention rather than burnout.
Today, that journey has evolved into my coaching practice. I work with high-achieving professionals who look successful from the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unfulfilled on the inside. Through self-discovery, mindset work, and practical tools, I help my clients manage stress more effectively, use their time with intention, and reconnect with their version of success—one that feels sustainable, meaningful, and true to who they are.
What once felt like a breakdown ultimately became the foundation for a life and business built on alignment, clarity, and purpose.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, this has not been a smooth road. In many ways, it has been just as challenging as it has been rewarding.
I’ve navigated intense self-doubt and imposter syndrome, questioning whether I was truly qualified to do this work or if I was meant to be on this path at all. There were many moments where walking away felt easier than staying committed, especially when things felt uncertain or progress wasn’t immediate.
What carried me through was the slow, intentional rebuilding of self-trust. I had to learn how to listen to my inner knowing and honor it, even when fear was loud and reassurance was nowhere to be found. Choosing this work has required me to step back in—again and again—after moments of wanting to give up.
Each time I recommitted, I strengthened my belief that this isn’t just something I do, but something I’m deeply meant to do. The challenges didn’t disappear, but my ability to meet them with clarity, resilience, and trust grew stronger. And that, more than anything, has shaped both my personal journey and the way I now support others.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Freely YOU, LLC?
Freely YOU is a self-discovery–based coaching practice designed to help high-achieving individuals build lives that feel meaningful, aligned, and sustainable. At its core, the work is about understanding yourself on a deeper level and using that self-knowledge to make intentional choices in your career, your relationships, and the way you move through daily life.
I specialize in supporting people who appear successful on the outside but feel disconnected, overwhelmed, or unfulfilled on the inside. Many of my clients are navigating high levels of stress, time pressure, and internal expectations that no longer align with who they are becoming. Through one-on-one mentorship, women’s retreats, corporate workshops, sound healing sessions, and my podcast: The Freely YOU Podcast, I help them reconnect with their inner guidance, clarify their version of success, and create practical systems that support balance, confidence, and fulfillment.
What sets Freely YOU apart is the emphasis on embodiment and integration It’s not quick fixes or surface-level motivation. This work goes beyond goal setting. It’s about building self-trust, learning how to listen to your internal cues, and creating a foundation that supports long-term change rather than short-term results. The approach is grounded, honest, and deeply human, meeting people where they are while empowering them to move forward with clarity.
What I’m most proud of, brand-wise, is the space Freely YOU creates, one that feels safe, supportive, and free from comparison or pressure. It invites people to step out of societal expectations and redefine success on their own terms. More than anything, I want readers to know that this brand stands for authenticity, self-leadership, and the belief that fulfillment comes not from doing more, but from becoming more connected to who you truly are.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My biggest advice is to find someone who has already walked the path you want to walk, someone who is living the life or has made the moves you’re working toward. Equally important is choosing a mentor you feel genuinely connected to. That sense of trust and comfort matters more than credentials alone.
When you feel safe to show up fully, you’re able to be honest about what’s working, what isn’t, and where you want to grow. That level of openness creates deeper awareness and more meaningful progress.
From a networking standpoint, I’ve found that relationships grow best when they’re rooted in authenticity rather than transaction. Be curious, ask thoughtful questions, and focus on connection over outcome. The most impactful relationships in my life and business have come from alignment, mutual respect, and a shared sense of values, not from forcing opportunities, but from building real, human connections.
