Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacey Brantley.
Hi Stacey, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started personal training after leaving my career as a special education teacher to stay home with my kids. I had always had a passion for health and fitness and figured I could train friends and family while making a little extra spending cash. I also hoped I might learn a thing of two to help me elevate my own fitness by going through the personal training certification program at National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). My little side gig began to grow slowly and steadily, mostly from referrals. By 2020 I had a fully equipped home gym. This was perfect timing as the pandemic was deterring people from going to crowded gyms and everyone was suddenly working from home with flexible schedules. Evolve Personal Training suddenly became a full time business for me and I was having to turn people away because I was so busy.
Five years later, I’ve been able to keep the momentum going by offering a level of personalization and customer service that is rare in commercial gyms. Many of my clients have been with me for 5-10 years, some even longer. In fact, some of my closest friends started out as strangers who hired me to train them. I love helping people feel strong and comfortable in their own bodies and guiding them toward a healthy lifestyle. I emphasize that there are no shortcuts, you have to put in the work but if you’re willing to do it, the rewards are truly life-changing. It has been an incredible personal growth journey for me to connect with so many different people on a level I wouldn’t have had the chance to in most other careers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There have definitely been ups and downs. This industry isn’t always consistent and not everyone wants a lifetime of personal training. Clients come and go but every time someone leaves for any reason it feels like a little gut punch.
We’ve been impressed with Evolve Personal Training LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I specialize in women’s fitness and weight loss. I try to help my clients find a balance between living a healthy lifestyle and still making room to have fun and indulge once in a while. My goal is for clients to leave their workout feeling like they got exactly what they needed that day, whether its a lighter workout because they didn’t sleep well the night before, an intense workout to get some aggression out or talk about the challenges they’re experiencing in their personal lives while I listen an keep them moving through their workout. No matter where someone is in their journey, I offer a safe space to try new things, ask questions and know that no one is judging them.
Any big plans?
I recently started the process of opening a Pilates studio and hope to have that up and running in the first half of 2026.
