Inspiring Conversations with Tammy Brannen of Creative Healing Center, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Brannen.

Hi Tammy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have been a therapist for about 25 years and started graduate school shortly after the death of my mother and my focus became grief and loss after my own personal experience. I worked in Hospice and Grief and Loss along with other areas including trauma, medical social work, adoption and birth. I started my own business 3 years ago and that is when The Creative Healing Center was born. I love my work and the amazing people I work with. We still focus on grief and loss and trauma and have also added new modalities including work with children and families, EMDR and psychedelic assisted therapy.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My beginnings were rough since I had just lost my mother and through the years I have encountered other challenges in life that have created struggles and are also some of the worst, best moments of my life and career. I wouldn’t be where I am without all the challenges.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Creative Healing Center, LLC?
I own a small group practice in Northern Colorado and have the pleasure of working with a wonderful group of humans that also love what they do. We work closely with one another and do more than share space we work together to provide quality care and also help one another continue to grow and expand in our own lives and work. We are known for our work with grief and loss as well as children and families. We have over 100 years of combined experience and I’m proud of how long we have worked in the community and our deep connections.

How do you think about luck?
I feel very fortunate and grateful for all the people in my life past and present. I don’t know if it’s luck or I like to think my mom helped to guide me along the way.
