Hi Theodora , so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started this business with my husband (Sylvester) 22 years ago because I didn’t want to be a burden to my family or society; instead, I aimed to contribute. I needed to support my family using the talents God gave me to provide for my children. My current success is largely due to consistency, perseverance, dedication, commitment, and, above all, my faith in the Lord.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, especially since we started a completely different business trying to introducing people to a new type of cooking style in a different country. I introduced a new food, hired employees, and grew capital without getting any loans assist, but relying solely on our own strengths to build the business from scratch.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
It’s an African restaurant that offers cuisine from across the continent. Our business provides something special and unique to both the local community and the entire country. I have been the head chef for 22 years. My brand emphasizes quality over quantity. The restaurant is family-friendly, serving authentic African dishes. Nearly everything on the menu is dairy-free, gluten-free, sugar-free, vegetarian, vegan, or pescatarian.
