Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany West.
Hi Tiffany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up as what many would call a highly sensitive soul in a world that didn’t really know what to do with my “big feelings”. Gymnastics was my first love — the one place I felt free and feminine in my body — until my dad pulled me out and put me in karate instead. I ended up thriving there too. I became a 3rd-degree black belt, traveled and competed for over a decade, and won multiple grand championships before I turned 18.
On paper, I looked great! Like the driven, disciplined, straight-A-student success story. Inside, I was a scared little girl bracing her way through life. I thought I was living, but I was just surviving.
I learned early on to be tough, to perform, to push, to excel. Not because it always felt good, but because it felt safe. Achievement became my armor. Strength became my identity. Emotion became something to suppress and suffer silently.
That pattern followed me into adulthood. Corporate life, banking. Running my own one-person credit union branch. Raising my oldest son with life-threatening asthma. Single mom. Hyper-competent. Holding everything and everyone.
What I didn’t realize was that all the things I was praised for — productivity, resilience, independence, achievements — were actually all survival patterns. My body had been keeping score the whole time.
By my early 30s, it all caught up with me.
Chronic pain. Ulcerative colitis. Osteoarthritis. Asthma. Allergies. Skin rashes. Hair loss. Anxiety. Depression. My body was speaking louder than my coping mechanisms could escape.
At the time, I saw it as a breakdown. Now I see that it was my wake-up call.
That’s when I began studying somatics, nervous system regulation, trauma, emotional healing, and the deeper energetics of how our childhood environments shape our adult realities – and live in our bodies until we address it. I realized that everything I thought was “wrong” with me was actually my system trying to protect me the only way it knew how.
That realization changed everything.
I rebuilt myself from the inside out. Not through mindset work or forcing positivity, but through nervous system safety, emotional digestion, presence, and liberating the parts of me I had abandoned to survive.
Today, that’s the foundation of my work.
I help women return to their bodies, reclaim their power, and build the internal safety required to live their truth and create lives they truly desire. Not just ones they were conditioned to settle for.
My journey didn’t start with entrepreneurship.
It started with survival.
And it led me to liberation — for myself and now for others!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has definitely not been a smooth road — and honestly, I wouldn’t be doing the work I do today if it had been.
One of my biggest challenges started early in motherhood. Well, really during my pregnancy. I learned after my son was born that he had a sister just two weeks younger than him. That mom and I were pregnant at the same time, and had no idea about each other. I raised my oldest son on my own with zero support from his father — emotionally, physically, mentally, or financially. He was diagnosed with life-threatening asthma at just two months old and spent months of his infancy on oxygen. For his entire life (even just recently at age 20) we lived in and out of ERs, extended hospital stays, and ICU scares. I slept sleep with one eye open watching his chest, just to make sure he was still breathing.
At the same time, I was running a one-person credit union branch. I was literally the only person in the entire state representing that location. If I didn’t show up, the branch didn’t open. I took pride in being the strong one, the reliable one, the multitasker. But my body was telling a different story.
Behind the competence and resilience, I was barley hanging on in constant survival mode. My nervous system was so dysregulated but to me, the constant stress and high adrenaline just felt normal.
Chronic pain, digestive issues, skin rashes, hair loss, anxiety, depression — my body was screaming at me to slow down. My symptoms weren’t a problem to fix; they were a portal. They were trying to show me everything I had abandoned in myself to stay afloat.
That’s what pushed me to get certified as a health coach. Doctors told me nothing was “wrong,” but I knew something deeper was happening. And I was right. When I left corporate in 2019 to pursue coaching full time, I realized wellness alone doesn’t create wholeness — not if the emotional and somatic roots aren’t nurtured and healed.
That led me into trauma-informed certifications, somatic work, and the foundations that eventually became my embodiment framework and Energy Fitness™.
And then came another major life transition: becoming a mom again in 2020, getting married, and discovering — slowly and painfully — that I was losing myself in my marriage. Asking my husband to move out was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, second only to leaving corporate. He moved out about a month ago, and I’m once again the head of the household.
This chapter has required a whole new level of trust — trusting myself, my path, and that I can build real financial freedom doing what I love.
So no, it hasn’t been smooth.
But every challenge — motherhood, chronic illness, single parenting, leaving corporate, rebuilding my identity, making hard relational choices, and figuring out how to run a business without a corporate salary to fall back on — became the soil for the work I teach today.
My obstacles became my curriculum. My healing became my mission.
And my life has become the evidence that liberation is possible, no matter where you start.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Interior Health Design LLC is my life coaching and transformation company. At its core, it’s a liberation studio for the soul and nervous system.
I help high-achieving women, mothers, and leaders transform the way they live, lead, love, and create by strengthening the aspect of themselves they were never taught to develop: their internal sense of safety + security.
My work centers on Energy Fitness™, my signature nervous system–based approach to embodied expansion, emotional sovereignty, and somatic freedom. Instead of teaching women to “push harder,” “think positive,” or “hustle smarter,” I teach them how to build the internal conditions that make freedom and desire actually livable — not theoretical.
I specialize in helping women who look successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, tense, disconnected, or constantly bracing for impact on the inside. Women who’ve carried everything for everyone. Women who don’t feel safe slowing down. Women who have 7-Figure Desires™ for their life but don’t yet have the internal capacity to hold them.
What I’m known for is helping them grow that capacity — gently, powerfully, and permanently.
Through my embodiment methodology and signature frameworks like The CALM Remedy™ and The Freedom Framework™, clients finally understand the roots of their symptoms, emotional patterns, burnout cycles, relationship dynamics, and self-sabotage. And more importantly, they learn how to dissolve those patterns from the inside out.
My clients experience profound results:
• resolving long-standing health symptoms
• shifting relationship patterns
• strengthening their emotional regulation
• reclaiming their voice
• releasing weight without force
• leaving survival-mode careers
• and building lives rooted in clarity, confidence, and calm instead of pressure and chaos.
What sets my brand apart is the truth I stand on:
Safety is the new success.
When a woman feels safe in her body, she becomes unstoppable.
I’m most proud that Interior Health Design isn’t about “fixing yourself.” It’s about remembering yourself. Returning to the body. Rewriting your internal blueprint. And building a life by design instead of default.
My offerings reflect that:
• Get Embodied — my signature 8-week group program + somatic support
• 30-Day Intensive & 5-month Immersion — my private coaching container
• Energy Fitness™ coaching + Speaking opportunities
• The CALM Remedy™ & Freedom Framework™
• and my growing Embodied Life University curriculum
Whether I’m working with a full-time corporate mom, a burned-out achiever, or a woman reinventing her life at 40 or 65, my mission is the same:
To help her come home to herself.
To help her build safety inside her own system.
And to help her live the life she’s been craving — with presence, power, and peace.
How do you define success?
I don’t define success the way our culture and society as taught us to.
I’m no longer chasing titles, milestones, income brackets, or timelines. I’m no longer measuring my worth by how much I achieve, how productive I am, or whether my life fits into a socially approved storyline.
For me, safety is the new success.
Real, internal, felt, nervous system safety.
Success is:
• How present I can be in a day with myself and others.
• How much calm I can breathe myself into under pressure.
• How gracefully I can respond when life feels chaotic.
• How deeply I can feel my emotions instead of performing over them.
• How courageously I can express my truth without abandoning myself.
• How rooted I feel in who I am, not what I accomplish.
This is the foundation of my Sovereign Success™ model. The understanding that you don’t create your desired life because you hustle harder; you design it my feeling safer, softer, clearer, and more sovereign on the inside.
I don’t subscribe to the cultural idea of “success” or “failure.” Those concepts are rooted in fear, performance, and comparison — not truth.
I’m not climbing corporate ladders.
I’m not forcing my kids into rigid systems like traditional schooling or the “right” college or career path.
I’m not trying to hit a certain personal, professional, or financial status by a certain age.
That’s not success to me. That’s just a dream they’re selling.
Success, for me, is raising emotionally intelligent children who feel safe to be fully themselves — who can navigate life and their emotions without suppression, self-abandonment, or shame.
Success is choosing presence instead of panic.
Safety instead of survival mode.
Truth instead of performance.
Flow instead of force.
Success is my ability to stay true to myself and my desires — especially when life gets “lifey”.
If I can live from calm, clarity, and sovereignty — and help others do the same — then I’m successful by my own definition.
And that’s the only definition that matters to me!
