Today we’d like to introduce you to Zach Hoerth.
Hi Zach, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started as a youngin with next to no resources but the necessity coming from a single mom of needing to make money.
I also knew if I truly dedicated myself to something, I could make a splash and maybe even create something that made an impact.
I dropped out of high school at 17 and began work at a stock brokerage. From there, I started a mortgage company and got into the insurance industry. Before I knew it, I owned multiple gyms and various businesses which was all the result of diligent effort and digital marketing. Everything I was creating was the result of my developing knowledge of online marketing…
Along the way, friends and family took note of my results and “Werkaholix” was born. I started making and optimizing websites for them. I expanded into all sorts of add campaigns and maybe ten years back got really heavy into photography and videography.
Now, Werkaholix is a fully integrated digital marketing firm that can envision, create, brand, build and deliver on all levels of digital marketing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh my goodness… it has been a chaotic path to say the least… Sometimes I describe the road as a trail up on a mountain, aside a cliff, where I lost my footing and have been tumbling down since. 🙂 You’re slamming into things and flying over things… You’re dodging certain death at any moment but with the right focus you can interact with the ground in such a way, You begin to influence your path and you learn to avoid obstacles and ultimately move in the direction you seek.
Being successful really in any capacity requires fortitude. There’s going to be some hurdles that you’ll have to overcome and people fall off the path everyday unwilling to push, pull and even scratch their way over em but for those that make it, there’s even less people to compete with on the other side, you’re better prepared, more experienced and have some momentum to carry into the next obstacle.
The key is to take every experience as an opportunity to grow and as soon as you do, what you once saw as obstacles or challenges now become exercises in what you’re capable of.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
So Werkaholix started doing web designs which is still our core competency but early on we expanded into Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Management, E-Commerce services, Videography, Photography and more…
We specialize in entire business branding, messaging, execution and marketing campaign management.
We stand apart from the rest as we’ve grown to do everything in-house. From logo design to your website, the theme and strategies behind your social media, your video and more… We can go from idea to reality right here in house.
I think what I’m most proud of is the fact that we took the hard road. All of the services described above are challenging businesses in and of themselves. To pull them all together over nearly 20 years to get to the point we can offer the all-inclusive product we do, has required tremendous patience, thought and perseverance but now many years in, it’s paying off and we have a product we few can touch.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is not giving up. It is pursuing your goals regardless of absolutely anything else. Accepting a destiny and jumping out of bed every day to build and live it. I absolutely believe that life is meant to be fruitful but I’ve also learned that the best things in life are the ones you work for, you grind for, in many cases even suffer for… It is that tenacity to go after your goals despite all costs that badges you as successful in my book 🙂
